Great phone except its video. It supports 3GP or MP4. I downloaded a trial software from internet to convert other formats (i.e. avi, mpeg etc) to 3GP and MP4, but the quality is poor. Especially, I see lots of small "squares" on the screen that reduces the quality. Does any body managed to watch a high quality film/cartton (simpsons?) on this phone? and with what converter program?

does any1 know if turning the fone off and on for the mp3 player by it self does any harm to the fone?

and is there anyway to use the mp3 player by it self to save battery with out restarting the fone. ie through the startup menu?

I have only got this phone a few days ago and absolutely love it! I have always had Nokias and was hesitant about changing brands but I am really glad that I did. It is so easy to use and the camera and mp3 player are of excellent quality. I highly reccommend it!

I've had this phone for a week now and I gotta say it's an amazing phone. I had the K750i before this but swapped it for this one with my sister. There's not much difference between the 2 except this has a better mp3 player, I havn't compared the sound but the W800i has better functions for mp3. If you don't need the mp3 than the W800i and K750i is the exact same phone but with a slightly different design. There is one small flaw to the W800 though, the earphones that comes with the phone is good but the rubber ear-plugs are quite thin, it doesn't block out the external sound and lets some sound out. I swapped the earplugs for the Sony Ultra Compact earphone ones I bought a couple of months ago for my i-river which made the sound much better. So to improve the earphones I had use the ear-plugs from my AU$70 earphones. It's worth it though, so you might want to consider getting the Sony compact series earphones and swap the rubber-plugs around.

Hi, I want to get this phone when I upgrade my plan. The design is cool especially with the orange! I had looked at the dummy phone available at my local Optus World (Australia) and saw that it had dirt marks on the keypad and didn't look like it could rub off... Probably because of everyone looking at the phone. Has anyone who has the phone experienced this problem? Thanx.

The W800i is a much better phone than the K700i and S700i; software is much faster. Overall not bad and definitely much much much better than that Motorola ROKR or aka E398.

it is better to have a separate music and communications device in order to save battery. besides, the combination of such features makes it very expensive. well, there are sure markets for such features. color is nice though.

I am a Nokia fan but have to say that I like the SE W800 design/colors. Even thoug many people do not like the orange color I think its cool.

Read more about EDGE at wikipedia dot org. It may not catch on, so dont buy a phone on the basis of EDGE.

I totally agree with Siraceliay, the W800 seems to be a great phone but I don't understand why SE have not made it available in a decent colour scheme. The K750 is ideal in design but functionally does not compare to the W800...how annoying!
