The difference with the k/d750 & the w800 is:
1.the w800 is a walkman 1st & a phone second.
2.the w800 can support upto a 34g (YES GIG) duo card that will be launched next year (4g by end of this year) when the k/d750 will take up to a 512mb.
3.the battery life on the k/d750 is like a normall phone where as the w800 has a battry life of up to 30hrs!!
4.the w800 has the abilty to work in mp3 mode (you can listen to music & not have the phone on!)
5.you can buy normall headphones & they will fit the w800 with the adaptor that it comes with.

way would any one want this handset when its going to cost more than the k750i when you can get the k750i and a 512mb memory card for about £50.00 cheaper there is no diffrence between the ww800 and the k750i

Cool Phone...most users have their own taste..celfones currently defines the users way of living....both k750i and W800 are cool phones if you think of the functionalities..no question about that..based on reviews, picture qualities are almost perfect and can be compared to digital camera with 3mp. This phone will rock till 2007...Well, I hope they would be able to fix the bugs..hanging/freezing,restart..well, lucky to those who do not encounter the problem..I think there are releases that has the bugs,but some are well assembled..

2mp camera - well, i've read almost all sites with reviews and they truly without any doubt say that it breaks n90/n70 of nokia!!!

hI f4PR i encounter the same problem with you
"there's once the handphone shuts off itself when i disconnect the usb port."
Now my pc cannot detect my phone indicate"unknown usb" after self reset.

Just like the 750i, No TV OUT facility and poor screen resolution compared to the imminent Samsung D600. Also very unattractive brick look once again !
Apart from that, excellent phone and features.
However, D600 has poor battery life compared to the SE products and I prefer one piece phones because I think they are likely to be more robust. I'll wait to see a comparison of camera performance between Samsung and SE before making up my mind, but I suspect SE may come out on top. I hope this site will carry out that review like it has with the N90. I'm not even considering Nokia because their phones weigh too much. End of !

Everybody says that the design of W800 is not as nice as K750, especially the colours!! In my opinion this model looks better than k750 and personally i have no problem with the colours!!
But i find it stupid that Sony Ericsson produced two almost identical phones for the market! Couldnt they just have the K750 and give you the option to pick the suitable memory that the user will prefer!!
Many people are confused which one to buy!!
At least these two phones are worth each penny and they represent everything you ask of the best phones of 2005!

I go for w800. Its cool phone.I say that you can change phone colours and have one of the best phone in all world. So choose w800.

which 1 to go for the w800i or the k750i?
many people told me the k750i because the w800i looks so bad in the orange/white combination....and is it true that the w800i has a poor LCD compared to the k750i or thats a joke !!!!!

Oh no, bad job done Mr. Sony Ericson...bad design!!! Totally a turn-off for me man. But the features might pull it up abit. so guys, get a 750i if you're still wondering which phone to buy. this phone will just get you no where and ppl might think you have no taste at all!

This does indeed look like a good, stylish phone. My only concern is that with the last 3 big releases by Sony Ericsson, there have been software problems, The K700i was withdrawn by O2 in the UK, and since then so has the S700i. the K750i had screen freeze problems. Wonder if it may be worth waiting for Motorola's Apple iTunes phone which is rumoured to be being anounced very soon?

I think the W800i is the best buy at the moment at the company i work for (telfort) it isn't expansive at all it has a great camera, a lot of memory and the software has been upgraded a bit for optimal use of the music capabilitys, one minor point is the looks of the back side and the way the camera is proteced i liked the back of the k750I more
but this colour and metallic buttons make this phone very beautyfull

the 9sec recording is for sending MMS. you can change the setting
Under : setting/shoot mode/
change to High quality video
Now you can record to max out your Memory stick

hi guys, i just want to know which one to buy the w800i or the k750i?and is the w800 worth the price difference . i read on a site that the w800i has a lower quality display than the k750i. is that true .

it can be said to b the best phone 1 can get now. but i encountered some probs when using, esp when using the usb port to transfer files. My pc hanged everytime a file is transferred halfway through, den there's once the handphone shuts off itself when i disconnect the usb port. the video currently only record 9 secs, n u nid to hold the button for it to start recording. some more there's lagging too. i m not sure if its juz my handset only or the whole...

Finally purchase W800i.
This is my first purchase of a Sonyericsson phone.
So far am veryX4 satisfied with the performance.Fast access to menu compare to K700i.Awesome sound from the MP3 player.The 512MB bundle was really useful.I can insert 64 MP3 songs and still got 180MB to play with.
Installation of PC suite was smooth. CD2Phone sw that was given in the CD was a great sw for transferring of MP3 to phone.
The camera was awesome!! 2MP...the picture quality is great!!
In Singapore a bundle of Bose Companion 2 was given and the sound quality played from W800 to Bose speaker is really awesome X4!!!!
the headset given comes with a headset jack..so it's easy for u to use your normal headset to hear MP3 .
Best purchase so far!

i don't know which one to get the w800i or the w600 if some one can help me out that will be great thanx :}
ooh and if you can tell me if both of them are on sale in the U.S. cause i don't know that will be great too.
