Spoke to sony ericsson this morning and they say release date is mid to late August, and will sell for around £250-£300

when it will be released in d phils..hope i got this such extravagant fone, i used to have K5001 and im bored with the memory;t'was so limited.. but this one, it has a memory card slot..naks i could have more videos recorded if i got this,,hope its affordable..

not very much to be excited abt...itz looks nice and is good quality too...but...functions are very similar to k750 and d750...only thing diff is the mp3 playbak when itz turned off...but, overall, i love it too...haha~ might think abt tradinin in my z800 for it~

why do i have to wait till september ? SE wants me to wait to death.... i can't wait anymore... can i pre-order it ? or shall i wait till the price is reduced ? oh yeh.. my birthday is on sept.. i will have it for my birthday present, phone, digital camera, mp3 player and usb disk drive.. all in one. 4 birthday presents in one package

i have heard alot about this phone. it has the best camera on the market in the uk and i have just placed my order for 1 with sony ericsson and i really can't wait for it to be delivered to me and i haven't been that excited over a phone since the nokia 8890.

there is nothing great about w800, it is cery highly priced phone. you just paying for 512mb card and walkman logo. otherwise sound quality is same as other se phone, just one thing attracts me is 30hrs of playback in off mode. else its not worth.

to danemar,,,i think you should put your self in their shoes as they have to make the phones !thousands of them,, but still we could give them a little nudge?the colour truthfully is bloody awful it reminds me of sick,it should come with a selection of replaceable strips to change from orange to any colour.By the time its out things will have changed dramaticaally again with hard drives on the way in many phones" ie samsung nokia " and will be up against cheaper competition if suggested prices are anything to go by.

Isn't 1st Q, 2005 over yet? where's your w800? Can anyone give me the releasing date?
I sold my k700i to buy a w800 on May 2005,
now i've spent all. but no w800! what a big sorry!

Hey!
To all the Aussies out there! I heard that '3' would you believe are going to have this phone too! Why? I don't know.
Does anyone know if this phone is to be 3G enabled? I didn't think so. Does anyone else out there know when the Australian release date for this phone is?

After being sodded about by O2 who offered me a K750 as an upgrade - and I have still to have the phone dispatched nearly 3 weeks later - I am thinking of telling them to "go forth and multiply" and let me this as an upgrade instead when it is released.
The only real difference between the K750 and the W800 seems to be the MP3 functionality. According to the Sony Ericsson site, this has the ability to record CD-to-MP3. So, basically that's all, along with your personal taste in colour schemes, to choose between them. Oh, and the W800 will be standard with the 512mb Sony Pro Duo card where the K750 has the comparatively pathetic 64mb card.
Shame September is so frikking long away though - it will mean I am lumbered with the sad Motorola V600 that never ever lived up to it's expectations! Does anyone know anyway that we can pressurise Sony Ericsson to release it earlier?

sony ericssons can pack a punch but they are ugly, with sony's reputation in design i'm surprise the way SE's are designed and this one is no exception. and another thing, their test input system needs working on, which is why many people, myself included stick with nokia. Their design is great and the system is so easy to use.

In my opinion, this W800 song ericsson is the best of the bst phone ever i seen in ma life. it is so amazing, i just can't wait to grab in my hands. plz TO SONG ERICCSON COMPANY release this phone as soon as possible. i just love it damn much like mad!!!!each day i will be praying to god that plz relase this phone fast. i jusy love it!!!!!

i think SE company should buy 2 kinds in Viet nam:
1) w800i + 512MB
2) w800i + 1GB
- SE should buy w800i with another colours, i don't like orange and smooth white colour

I think this is going to be one of the best products that sony has ever builted. because a 2mp camera is just enougth for most of the people.
i am very sorry that i live in the dominican republic, here it wull arrive 4 month later that US. i will have to be happy with my K700i.

i think this phone is fantastic. certainly one of the best that will be made, until new developements are made of course. 512mb is a vast amount of memory and its so small and compact. seriously cant wait to get my hands on this beauty, waiting however is another story, i want it now not next month or month after, confused as to why SE are releasing this so much later than K750i because there practically the same phone despite a few minor differences. i phoned SE last week and they told me the W800 will be released beginning of september, so fingers crossed it does, wish it would come out sooner though. if any one knows anything else let me know. i want this phone ASAP!!!!
