In reply of steves question,
When does this release in australia, if you go to the Australian Sony Ericsson Site, You will see "Coming Soon" Next to the phone, they wouldnt of have uploaded the phone to there site with all its specifications if it wasnt "Coming Soon", My guess the release of this phone would hit the markets of Australia in June (Not Too Sure).
Maybe someone else could inform me because I would also like to know. If it is June, its just in time for my birthday :)

:: K700 Vs W800 ::
K700 is the imaging phone, Yet it is identical to the w800, if you compare one another on this site, you will notice that they are twins, just different styles on the outside.
Under The Cover:
W800 is my choice of phone why? it has a 512mb memory card which k700 only has a 64mb, plus it also has " Mega Bass™ (trademark of Sony Corporation)", and k700 hasnt.
About the stock ear-phones, i would imagine the w800 would be equipped with the high quality stereo handsfree headphones that ensure real musical joy.

If it doesnt come stock with the w800 it might just be an accessory. With the Apple ipod earphones my friend had recently bought the earphones simaliar to the "link provided" just in white, for AU 60$ the ear phones are great, the go straight to the earlobe without loosing any sound / bass.
Overall Sony Ericsson have done a great job, and I recommend both phones.
The only major difference is that k700 = 64mb memory which you can upgrade no fuss.
And the w800 has Mega Bass™, which k700i hasnt.
My choice of phone would be the w800 because it looks different, and i cant be bothered buying a 1gig memory card for the k700i which do cost a fairbit + i like my music.

could someone please come up with a date for release in australia?? i work in a phone shop and i know what i want, and i want this phone. i have put off purchasing other phones on the market at the moment like the d500 and the 6230i and the 6630 simply because i ama sony-erric type of person, so any insider info would be appriciated.

Well, guys, I don't deny the fact that the W800 is a very good loocking phone and that it has great features(I myself like the 265K big screen >> :D), but I read that it's price will be around 700 USD, which, at least for me, seems a huge price for a phone. I have a K500 and it's a very good phone and it's price doesn't even compare with the W800's. So, if you want a good phone at a reasonable price, you should probably choose the K700 phone, which is great too, and it has more memory.

Hello !!! I want to know if W800 is better than 6230i ..... Does W800 have Calculator and Calendar , and how much can it memo the voice ?? .... I HEARD THAT THE PRICE at W800 is going to be between 400-450 Euros .... but it's RULESSS THIS PHONE !!! I BUY IT IMEDIATLY IT APPEARS !! :)

Well, the W800 actually does have a lens cover. Chech out the grey slider button on the camera side of the phone.

ok, ok i get your point friend.. as far as i know the W800 doesn't has a lens cover, know why..? as i had said earlier the W800 is a music phone..! the K750 is meant for photography so that is why the clever folks at sony ericsson has design a lens cover for the K750 camera.. since u said u had own an O2, i can't see why u had given yourself a difficult choice between the W800 and the K750..? however lets be reasonable. i think the W800 should suits u more than the K750 since u had already stated that u dislike to bring your Mp3 player, your voice recorder and so on and so forth.. satisfy now..? :)

but Sony ericsson W800 also has 2Mega pixel , same as K750. so the image quality is the same. the different is whether W800 has lens protector or not??? can you close the camera lens to protect it from the dust or not ?? and... i like to listen to music 24/7 and take photos too, so i don't need to bring my bulky Digicam, Cd player, MP3 Player, USB Flash drive, FM Radio and voice recorder... i need mobile phone that can have all features.. that way i only need to bring one "bricks" instead multiple electronic devices in my small jeans pocket :) so which one is good? K750 or W800 ??
of course my XDA 02 mobile phone has more features all in one package including editable MS word, ecxell, powepoint, TV,Voice recorder, MP3,WMA/WMV, scientific calculator, financial calculator, Age of empire games, strip poker, MSN, GPS Navigation, internet/e-mail and so on... but i am talking about sony ericsson .. so which one should i buy... W800 or K750 ?

Buy the W800 if u love music 24/7. Buy the W800 if u love Mp3 players. Buy the W800 if u feel like a techno junkie. Buy the K750 if u love to take pictures. Buy the K750 if u have too much memorable moments in which u often need a camera. Buy the K750 if u wan to be a professional photographer rather than a 'musicman' Do u get my point..? No one knows which phone suits u the most only u yourself know which category on the above u belong to.

what is the different between K750i and W800 ? coz K750i can also listen to MP3 while u upgarde the memory to 512MB ?
whic one is better ? K750i or W800 ?? i am just worried about the camera lens cover. if W800 has camera lens cover i will chose W800 instead K750i. so what do you guys prefer ?

.. forgot to mention. Only 40 note plyphonic ringtone? Why bother at all when you have MP3 tones.. and up to 4Gb Memory Stick Duo Pro? That's almost in iPod territory.. Samsung will surpass this phone with their already planned new line-up, but SE will still have the head start.
