Hi Annie, you mentioned the price without bill of W800 is 14,500, can you pls tell me which city have you enquired it from and which place. I need to buy this phone and am waiting for the price to drop further.Thanks.

dia phone surpassed all of my expectations,sonny ericsson has rily outdone themselves on this phone its got my recomendation,once again well done 2 sonny ericsson!!!

So well the w800 be able to support newer memorysticks with a firmware upgrade so it can regonize this bigger size of capacity? I heard some poeple said that in some other forum!

Thank you Dan but I didnt ask for quality of the loudspeaker. I asked for loudness of a phone. I want to know does d750 (not k750) have louder sound then w800 because my friend has d750 and he played mp3 and it is much louder then on my w800. If the level 8 means level of a sound of ringtone than how to set the level of sound of walkman? Maybe it is only my problem. What should i do? Thank you Dan anyway.

you can transfer files(mp3,pics,etc) via usb cable,bluetooth dongle or a memory card reader... if you're using usb cable, sometimes the files transfered might experience some errors in it, to solve, update your software to R1AA008 from the SE website.

the loudspeaker is the same quality on both w800 and k750. However, the mp3 ringtone quality of the w800 is definitely better than k750. The volume 8 which you adjusted is for the ringtone, not the walkman sound... To me, w550 has the best sound quality cos of its 3 stereo speakers at the back of the phone....
to Kbadone:
w800i can support the 2gb of MSDP(as stated on the SE website). As for the 4gb, i'm not very sure but I heard that newer SE models are to be fitted with MSDP Micro which is more smaller in size.

i have w800 (got it nerly month ago).
My friend has d750.I sent him mp3 and he played it. The sound on loudspeaker is much louder on d750. I dont understand why. The level of sound is 8 like on w800. Is it my problem or do everyone has it? How to fix it?

Hi evrybody! Could this phone play converted videos(MP4 or 3gp whatever) stored on its memory card and does it has any limitation in size? Can anyone tell me the program to use (other than xilisoft)and the settings as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how do u transfer the music to the phone. I've tried but it didnt work. Sometime, it did transfered into the phone but i can't open the file? Please help.

In India, w800i was selling @ Rs.17,500/-( US $ 372)a month ago. Now the price is Rs.14,500 (US $ 308)without bill and warranty. Mean 18 % price drop in one month.My friend has bought it, performs excellently in terms of mp3 player and camera.Truly, the best brand n model pricewise in India at present.

Thanks to all the people for their opinons on the phone SE W800i to be very honest a very good phone .
i only had the problems with the songs disappearing from the memory card ...and as per the updates i have updated the S/W from R1N035 to R1AA008 ...and it really works fine the trf with the D2P SW is fantastic a good way to group your songs of diffrent artists into folders . A great phone and a great forum.thank you very much people as i found great help from the site abt the same and please continue hope my input as well helps .because the firmware R1N035 is having bugs in it ...and you seriously come accross drastic changes with the change in the software version .thanks

Hey guys I have a W550i but am planning to buy a w800i b'coz of the camera but a bit confused to choose from W800i or SamsungD600 & the Nokia N70.The D600 has good speakers but does the w800i also have the same speakers like the W550i.I'm looking for a phone with good cam as well as good speakers.Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Helppppppp.

I just have to W800i, it is a great phone, but the problem is I cannot make a longer voice recoard than 1 minutes. Is it some way to prolong the recording?

To sort your MMS out Joe, goto the SE website, then to Support and select w800 on the drop down box. Follow the instructions from there.

hey ive had this phone for a while now and i still love i!
To to the person below who said that the side buttom activates the walkman whilst in his pocket you need to go to Settings > General > Play/Pause button..and then change it to Radio. The radio wont turn itself on while its in your pocket becasue you need the headphone in it aswel. hope this helps =)
