I'm dissapointed with the W810 cause i've had the same phone three times now and all three started bugging 6 months after perchase; my 3rd one is still in for repares since last month and I've started to get a lil pissed!

i heard that noise today aswell when i was playing around with my mates W810i, i was in the Walkman Player of his and it wouldnt respond and a shaking noise came from it and now we know the problem

Ok people. That shaking noise I was hearing in my phone was the shake sensor taht comes with the walkman phones that enables you to skip a track just by holding down the volume knob and shaking the phone. I know it's not my phone alone because I went to a store and picked up their w810i and it made the same shaking sound.

i was playing with my mates W810i today and dayum! iv seen one before but never played around with anyway the W810i Rocks! ,the Walkman is great,Camera is soo clear!, the speed of it is choppy compared to my W850i, the Music output is loud aswell, nice compact size aswell ! i have a W850i but W810i is similar to it in many ways, just the Music Player is Walkman 2.0 and 3G and display are better in W850i, the rest W810i has !
one of the best phones iv ever seen !

Does anyone know the name of some really cool themes for this phone? the 4 that come with the phone are really boring and i want to spruce it up a little, how to download them and where to get amazing new themes would rli help.

want to change ur ringtone, its simple, go to menu > hit setting, here u will see tabs>press right joystick key which will lead u to "sounds & Alerts" here u can change ringtone volume/ringtons & other settings, SE user interface is more simpler & easier than nokia, dont worry u will get use to it, spend some time on it.

this is the best sony ericsson phone... man its awesome... ive been using it since 1 yr... no other phone compares to it... awesome camera... awesome sound quality.. awesome features... the only hitch would be the output sound from the phone but the external speakers more than make up for it... just excellent

But in my phone in profile section, no option is there to change the ringtone. In main sound setting ringtone change option is there.
Is there some firmware update problem to something else
Please let me know !

u just need to go to
Settings >
Profiles >
Select your profile and set ur ringtone
OR
just set each profile as 'Active' and then set an active ring tone. it will be automatically saved to the profile.

yestarday i bought this phone, and its amazing phone. i would like to know one thing about this phone that how we can set difference ringtones for different profile.
Please help me in this regard.
This phone is rocks, sound is superb, camera quality if of 3 MP.
Sony ericsson rulsz !!! Nokia you have to do lot of work.

Nope, my phone doesnt make any noises when I shake it. Better go get it check out. =\
Still wondering if this phone can support the 8 GB card or is 4 GB the max? Thanks.
