the only difference between the W810 & W810i is the frequency bandwith eg. W810i is int'l wersion and W810c is for China's frequencies :-)

I'm planning to get this phone tomorrow, and I have one urgent question: the w810 and w810i are the same right? I mean, they aren't two different versions right? Or is the white one the w810i and the black the w810? Help me...

Hi! Do anyone knows where i can download an english-chinese(chinese-english) dictionary for SE W810? I need a dictionary for my phone urgently. Thanks a lot!!!
                      I tried this site
                      http://www.getjar.com/products...glishChinese
and tried to download the software directly from my phone (Download to Mobile: Open wap.GetJar.com with mobile -> Quick Download -> enter Quick Download Code 18679) but the phone says it cannot be downloaded cuz it's too large. Has anyone tried this?
Can you give me a site where i can have a good dictionary for my phone.I don't care for its size (the bigger the better) cuz i have a gigabyte card in it.
                      My email is tsindavid@yahoo.com

This is absolutely the best phone ever made!!

And still the best phone in the market.

One thing I don't like about it is its thickness.

SONY ERICSSON please make the same phone only thinner like 8mm and remove the slot card, just let the memory be internal.

                          @[JP_1] for me w810i is still the best compare to k550i;

                          k550i's advantage over w810i
                          1)cover on the camera
                          2)A2DP for wireless stereo
                          3)internal memory

                          w810i advantage over k550i
                          1) external memory using MS ProDou (4Gb); i have'nt tried using the 8GB MS, i think it's too much =)
MS ProDou is much affordable compare to MS Micro
2)if you look at the specs both have the same display resolution but compare them on the actual handset and you'll see the difference;w810i is much clearer
3)W810i as a walkman phone have superb megabass feature when using the headset
                          4)very comfortable keypads

if w810i have a cover for the camera lens, Qvga resolution,A2DP support and a bit much louder external speaker... w810 is the greatest phone ever that's my opinion

                          - i'm just comparing the 2 but still you can see i'm biased hihihi it's for you to decide which is the best.. and depends on your preference

                          w810i rocks \m/,

Well I bought a Sony Ericsson W810i and it lasted 2 months. Its a really nice phone, lots of features but I got the dreaded flashing screen and that was the end of my phone.

I got my 810i six months back and within a month it died. All I did was format the memory card and it happened. The phone restarted and the screen turned white and started flashing on and off. I waited for over two hours thinking it was normal but the phone did not start. SE reported "DEAD SET" on the job card. It was within warranty so SE replaced the internal mechanism (inside the same Body) with a new IMEI no. and it works fine now. I have not dared to format it again. I have updated its Firmware on the inernet though and it is still working fine. I also have not installed any extra softwares / applications etc. in my phone as I had earlier and use it only as a walkman for listening to MP3 through earphones. The earphones are much more than satisfactory as there is ample bass for listening pleasure and I dont need 12" woofers now. The flip side is the ringtones are loud but they lack the treble / high frequencies. My old J300i ( I still use it ) has more treble in the same ringtones than 810i. When I get a call on J300i it rings better than 810i in terms of high frequency though not as loud. Comparing the price of the two phones I wonder why 810i does not have the loudness or the clarity as one would expect. W550i is still the best if you use it without external speakers b'cos it has double speakers.
Another drawback I found on my phone is that the brightness of the screen is not adequate.
I mean the contrast is too much. If I tilt the lower end of the phone closer to me than the upper end, the images / VDOS get darker.
Sometimes the walkman gets stuck and I get buzzing noise untill I exit the walkman. GIF images / animations are slower on this phone. I dont understand why. I put the same images on W550i and K750i they are much faster than in W810i. The bigger the images the slower they get. Something very bad and annoying for a phone for this price. Even after the update the probelem persists. I dont know if anyone else has this probelem or not.
Battery lasts for two days if music is played four to six hours a day. Camera is excellent with an amazing flash. Incredible richness in terms of colour and clarity. I can take pictures in pitch black conditions with flash (8-10 feet only). Auto focus slows down the camera but I dont mind at all. Overall a very very good phone (If one does mess with it like I did. My advise... dont fiddle with your phone and enjoy)
