how to fast forward ONLY IN WALKMAN MODE! keep hold of the right part of the silver dial to fastforward (did this help)

it can take a 4 gb card .
@ problem with the white screen "wsod" :) it's caused by the software..and yes is a problem that appears on s-e models , not only on w810i..
it can be "treated" by updating..try to take the phone to a service..they are payed to do that :)

it is not a good phone i bought it since 6 months & it made me feel tired along this period,software not good,camera in some places not good,i advice you not to have it

the first, something like 10 months i had this phone it was amazing i could have the benefits of many different devices in just one compact cell phone and i loved it to death. the battery, camera, mp3, everything was amazing... BUT THEN! one day after transferring some new music to my phone, i left it on my desk for a sec to use a bathroom and when i came back, it was flashing white and then turned blank in an infinite loop. only way to stop was to remove battery. i called ericsson customer support and was told that there would be a patch in the update coming out in about 6 days so i waited. that 6th day i didt notice anything new in the update service, so i called they said update anyways . while the update was running it seemed to be working but it stopped at 98%. now the phone is just a brick it doesnt do anything including charging. i have to send it in for repair for 10 business days. the worst part is after getting this problem and researching, i realsied this is a wellknown and comon problem, so beware

fast forwarding or reversing a song is possible only when you are playing a song through the walkman media player... to fast forward a song one has to press and hold the joypad to the right for 2 seconds... if you just tap it once then it will switch over to the next song... to reverse hold and press the left of the joypad. hope i've made myself clear... for further clarifications check your user manual.

Had this phone for a bit over a year now, and it's pretty great.
I have a 2GB Pro Duo stick in my phone right now, but it can work with 4GB sticks as well. I've noticed that it takes the phone longer to find a song with a larger memory stick though.

@44 & SE_user: guys i'm using 4GB sony M.S. and it worked. this phone can handle it =) i used almost 3Gb of the 4Gb. Side Effects?it may take a while for the phone to boot-up & the 1st song you play on the walkman program will take about 20sec but won't do the same when going to the next song. and also if you take pictures don't save it on the 4GB MS..when you open it on your PC some pics will display distorted. i think because 4GB is so big for file allocation. but i hav'nt tried to use the card reader yet.. currently i just save my pics in the phone memory; i'm really not a pic addict=) my MS is full of MP3's and a bit of doggy 3gp files nyahaha i do have games as well. i guess i answered your question.

This phone is really cool, if ur looking for good looking, music and networked featured phone then just go for it. Am using it since last 7 months, its awesome, its rocking.

i have noted a usefull error in w810i. after playing the mp3 normally we will stop the song. but if we don't close the player application, then the internal amplifier works continuorsly. you can hear this hum sound near at back speaker even after stop the song.I checked well it's software design error. So always don't forget to close the player after usage.otherwise it will waste battery power.

@ 44 ... dosen't seem like anybodu knows if this phone takes either a 4GB or a 2GB memory card. Sorry mate, I too would like to know....hey, anyone out there knows???

awesome! i like this phone..my first camera phone and glad dat i'm lucky to have it.photo quality is superb.loud music and megabass.nseries looks pathetic i agree.

I have one myself..Got it 4 months ago and indeed it is a technological wonder..altough as you may have already read in other posts, it scratches really fast, the battery is really dissapointing and the signal in remote areas is dropping dead almost every time...Great features ? Well....the camera, the design and the Walkman function wich really kicks ass ..
