Recently I downloaded google maps for this phone. And it works pretty well. Does anyone know any other good applications that you could download from the internet that work well on this phone?

i think what he/she mean is that the phone only support up to 128kbps for ringtones.. for mp3 player it can support more than 312kbps i believe because i have a few song that are 312kbps.

Does the battery drain quickly if you use Walkman while phone is on? Approx. how long will the battery last if you listen to the Walkman about 5-6 hours a day?

w810i isnt a good fone then....if it only supports 128KBPS of bit rate thats crappp...

For All people who r complaining abt that their phones work with some mp3 files and dont work with some other mp3 files, the Sony Ericsson w810 works only with the mp3 files that have the rates of "128 Kbps" and less rates,while it doesnt run mp3s higher than 128KB,keeping in mind that songs at that rate are of high quality and not bad at all, so u have to see first if ur Song is with that rate or higher or lower ,,anyways when ur song exceeds the 128kbps (for example u found it 192kbps) u will download a converter from the net that converts those rates to 128kbps or lower ( Most famous program does that job is 'MP3go128' )and its free online.

Bought this phone today and I've got to tell you I'm really impressed. First of all it's lightweight, my previous phone was heavier and it felt uneasy at first. Hope I won't have problems with the phone like others had brought up. I'm excited really. Thanks to all the useful comments, it helped me out a lot. A big factor of me buying the phone is the satisfaction that owners had with this phone. Thanks again. :)

i believe that some phones that are branded by a carrier might not be able to use some ringtone as mp3.

yes, mi phone is branded. its with cingular. but i could use mi mp3's as mi ring tone with the sony ericsson w600 and it was with cingular too

@ Robin. Hi, when u play music u can see a button on the right side of mobile set (the one u use for zooming for camera), this is volume control, and volume is quite good, just like ipods and mp3 players.

its a gr8 phone.......but i haf problm that in specification there is written format of player like AAC.MP3 and MPEG4 but it doenst play them all......can any one tell me why......or give me any reason

For all those who keep complaining about the volume of the phone, can you try to experiment with the equalizers (excluding the megabass which is preset). U'll be surprised at the difference!
