This phone is the first serious attempt at an all in one compact candybar phone I've seen on the market. Quadband phone + MP3 player + camera + flash = "Tricorder!"
I got mine via Cingular (USA: 850/1900, GSM/Edge) for US$82 with a 2 yr plan.
PROS:
2 mpxl camera.
LED light and "flash" for camera.
Pretty fast interface (although i know others rate faster)
Beatiful screen.
Allows for 2GB memory card.
Really good quality FM radio. I was surprised how well it picked up some of my favorite stations while in my office.
Pretty good sound output for the MP3 player.
CONS:
Came with only a 128MB memory card (thanks Cingular).
Came with only some crappy demo games (thanks Cingular). Is it too much to ask to have Collapse, Tetris, Blackjack, Poker, and Solataire standard on all phones?
No 2.5mm stereo plug (requires adapter).
I think bluetooh headsets should come standard too... and why not a bluetooth stereo, water resistant headset?
No camera lens cover.
No rim around screen.
For the weight and the sleekness of this phone, you definitely need to get a cover for it... I'm buying a crystal clear case.
You also need to buy a higher capacity memory stick duo, car charger, shorter 3.5mm stereo adapter.
I like it but all these companies could do better.

Hey AVTAR i would say go for w810i its the best phone i every had till now. it works extremely gr8 with gprs...

I have this phone a few months ago.....damn!this cellphone rocks!.....I never had a cellphone like this before...this is the best cellphone I have every had....junk all flip and sliding phones.....!

With my phone I have space on both my phone and memory card but it is still saying that messages are full! Do you know if this is right, or is it because I have an older software version?

the only con of this phone is it doesn't show time when in sleep mode.

hi all,plz,can anyone help me.
i am terribly confused b/w w810 & nokia5300.i preferred the w 810 but many comments here say that after some months usage,the phone gets bad reception and it goes haywire.plz,does any longterm user of this phone can help me.........

The internet browsing is not to shabby. It mostly depends on your connection signal. In good signal it rocks (most of the time) but in poor or weak signal it understandably is a little laggy.

Yes, you can load just about anything via the USB cable. As for games, you need to put them in the "other" section and then it will extract/install when you click on it for the first time.

The only "keylock" I'm aware of is more like a key guard. It just guards the keys from being accidentely pushed. You need to push the * button and then the right soft key to turn it off. To turn it on you have to go into settings and then security. That's the best I'm aware of. I wish it had a keylock with a password also. :-(

hiya all i have been using sony ericsson w810i past 2 months but the thing concerning me now is that the phone does not hve any screen lock it just hve sim lock and phone lock at startup n after the password is entered once phone is unlocked unless the battery is dead which is very concernin as its hvin no privacy 4 sms mms or anything.Does anybody k now any solution for this any software or aplication through which i can get a lock for my screen and be relieved ill b waitin 4 replies...thanx

this phone is cool. comparing with n series if u co nsider the price range i think no other phone comes nearby.. whatever it has is unique sound is crisp and clear an du can connect to any music devices. cam is pretty good for a mob and auto focus is cool. its just like a cam a mp3 player of high class and a pretty little moby... even if u fill the entire 512 mb my phone is not lazy its just as same as in tne beggining... i think the manufactures should provide more games and other handy softwares... for 14500/- indian bugs its the king

hi all..
i saw many posting many comments abt this phone over here..i would like to invite ur attention to 2 facts which mainly attracted me...first one is the display clarity...when u take a w700 or other phones in that range(k750..)..n look at the screen at the same time..u feel the reall difference...there is a great difference in screen clarity..n other imp thing is the light sensor..which automatically adjust the display brightness..which enables u to get a clear view even in bright light...w810 rocks....

w810i is the best phone i ever had.Maybe it hasn't got much memory but it is a phone with everything.
