i've got one of these little beauties and had it since it came out (due an upgrade though and don't have a clue what to get). Bought a 2gb card (1.4 gb in use) and the phone runs smooooth. Not one problem with it so far with regards bugs or firmware. If you are looking for a stable phone that does the lot then this is for you.
Just a quick thing though the sound is fine for me using the stock headphones but if you want to improve the volume invest in a really good set because you can deffo hear a huge difference. if i use my creative headphones then it can be way to loud so i stick to the originals.

ppl plz reply 2 this i hav a nokia 3250 now 4 3 days and i jst dnt like it i think i shld get the w810i cuz it can expand 2 more memory ds 3250 can only expand 2 1gig and da w810i can expand 2 2-4 gigs so ppl plz tell me ur opinions i need 2 knw SOON cuz they said i can exchange it b4 a week so plz tell me Dude51015@hotmail.com THANX G2G

to allow u 2 take a video more than a min long u will have 2 go 2 the video settings and change the lengh frm mms format 2 unlimited.

Go with the W810i as it is Quad band and the W850 is only Tri band. So depending on the carrier you wish to use you might not be able to use the W850.

When in camera mode press the # button to turn on the flash. That is the short cut... You can also turn it on going in the settings when in camera mode.

in order to play mpeg 4, you have to set the screen size in certain format. i forgot what it was but u can google it and it'll be easy to find

I have the Cingular branded W810i. I have a 4gb memory stick pro duo card in it. I think this is one of the best phones out right now. If its a hot phone i've owned it or played with it extensively. The W810i is extremely customizable and easy to use. It has all the features:
Quadband GSM (850/900/1800/1900)
Bluetooth
Infrared
Expandable Memory
2.0 Megapixel Camera
Dual LED Flash
Speakerphone
MP3 Player (Walkman Branded)
FM Radio
It's extremely easy to use. Has great small features such as the "s.o.s." feature with the flashlight. The options are great. You can turn the light on for a min and it automatically turns off so you won't have to navigate back in the menu. Great voice recorder while on a call. I searched the web for a few days after I had purchased this model and found plenty of FREE things for it. I have (aproximatley)500 movable screensavers, 300 wallpapers, and 200 themes. The screen is beautiful and bright. The headphones that are in the box are great, they are about $40 - $50 at Best Buy if you want to buy them for another device. They aren't a cheap pair. It's very easy to put music on unlike the L7 from Motorola (if with iTUNES). I think as far as MP3 players built into a phone this is hands down the best. Most cell phones with MP3 capapility don't come packaged with a headset, memory card, or data cable & software. Such models include the Samsung D807, LG CU500. When playing MP3's without the heaset they are ok when in a quit place. The part of the headset which plugs directly into the phone can accept any normal line in line out cable. Therefore you can output the sound to almsot any speakers. Heres a neat trick: Buy a tape adapter for a car and put it in the headset wire. There is a mic on the headset part which I am referring to. You can now make a call and use your cars speakers to hear it. Works great and Iv'e done it with my W600i in the past. Not many phones let you make folders on the spot to organize your media but the W810i does. You can take some pictures then make a folder for them and even rename just about any file or folder. There is no way which I have found that you can have no shutter tone, however if you simply turn the phone on "quit mode" by holding the # button the phone will not make a peep when you snap a pic. To see some info about your phone simply click the side buttons up or downe when on the main screen and the wallpaper is visable. That must be done when nothing is running in the back such as the MP3 player. There isn't much that I would change about the phone. W810i is one of my favorite phones to date. Sony Ericsson is doing great things. The only thing I haven't got to work is changing movies into the correct format so that I can watch a movie on the phone. I'm sure i'll get it eventually. Enjoy the phone if you have it, if you don't GO GET ONE ! ! !

I m using this phone since 6 months and nerver had any problem with this phone, i do agree the loudness of the phone is not up to the mark. but if you buy this phone now u get 2 small bluetooth speakers free with this phone and the clarity and loudness of the speakers r gr8.

I have a query.During a call the backlight is on for as long as the call duration.I feel quite some battery power is wasted there.Does anybody know to change the settings.
Also can the photolight be used as a flash.Coz in the night the night mode there is no light and with photolight on the pic turns out to be white.

the answer to jaspers mp3 question is yes go to ur mp3 tracks then right click and it will come up as use as clik ring tone hey presto

any charger with the se fitting will work on this handset if you had a k700 and the fit fits it will work

is the charger different from the standard charger? like can i use my charger in k700i in this?
