this phone is hard to get scratched, very solid construction and also a high quality glass screen protector. the phone is lil plastic, but the black is not painted. dont worry about the metal thiing around the camera lens, it wont go scratch.
louspeaker still being a big problem for me.. i cant hear when ppl are calling. it is only good when i use radio (sounds like 2x louder)

Hi i owned this phone for 2 months.. the loudspeaker is kinda crappy compared to my w600i and w300i.. the only difference is that the w810i´s louspeaker wont leak with use and w600/300 will. also w810i phone wont get heat fast as w600 when u play music with da speaker.
i've noticed that the file manager becomes very slow with 2mp pics and gifs. the batt life is average, so if u want a real music phone buy w300.
This phone will only play low size SWF files (under 200k) and for those who have problems with playing videos and the only thing u can see is a black screen and the music playing, the video size must me 176x220, 150kbps, mp4 format and mpeg3 audio.
i can say that the camera is good in night but it is not that good under sunlight conditions, there will be color lose if you put it under the sun also when using daylight W.B.
the only thing that i dont like is the very slow music transfer, slow autofocus and the not-very-loud-loudspeaker.

is the frame surroundiing the camera lens metal painted in black or what ??
does the color go off & gets scratched fast ??
coz i get annoyed with these kind of stuff

what a pity, the loud speaker of this phone is even lower than samsung d600.
what's happening with sony ericsson, w800i was too much better.

Hi,
Please let me know if it has the option of displaying the clock and the other important information (received texts and missed calls) while in Stand-by? In K700 (and some other models) it was available but I can't find it in W810. Any hints?

The K750 has the best cammera of all 2megapixle phone cammeras. Yet, i have compared it with my w810i too me the w810i has excellent photo quality, it all depends how deep you proberbly go into taking pics? who knows??
But then again the w810i has autofocus something the k750 doesnt?! They are very simular the k750, w800 and w810. Ive played around with them all actually owned a w800 and now have a w810, the k750 only downside is it has joystick, and over time the joysticks tend to play up.
At the end of the day its really which one you decide, the w810 for my liking is the best, compared to the D600 samsung maybe the d600 is a bit louder on the loud speaker option but overall the w810 clearly takes the cut.

hey john i had da same problem with my phone and i got it fixed and found out dat da problem was dat da cable dat connects with da screen is probably broken or snapped so u might need to get one replacement..

i read many of the reviews of W810i from different sites..n i found in some of the reviews the editor telling that w810i's camera is not good as w800i...is it true that w810i's camera is worse in bright sunlight?is it even worse than K750 or w800? guys who used this mobile before plz let me know about its camera features..

i hav read many of da reviews of W810 in different sites..phonearena.com, mobileburn.com as wel as gsmarena.com n blah blah...but i found in some of the reviews, ascertain dat W810's camera is worse in bright sunlight..is it true dat w810's camera is bad than its forrunner w800 and k750?

if you want a phone with a loud and good speakers for w550i.
the w810 loudspeaker is subtle, smooth and very pleasant. one feature of this phone is you can connect it to your radio and even computer speakers.

for those who have problems with drop calls have your phone updated. I had this problem before and had it solved. go to the site of sony ericsson and find w810i.
Before you update be sure you have installed the drivers (its in the supplied cd). make sure you also have your usb connectors ready.
