Hey Guys!! I just wannaa know dat is this fone better than nokia 6270 or not??? Currently i m using 6270 but i dont use any mobile for more than 3 months so thats y i m planing to buy either W800i or N-72......So pls let me know that is the camera of W800i and sound quality of w800i is betta than 6270 or not???? I have used many of the nokia mobiles but believe me the sound quality of 6270 is the best.....and still pictures r also gud and video recording is not dat gud!!!! for the one who wants to run the mp3 on this car stereo there is an accessory for the that using radio frequecy. go to sony ericsson site.
the speakers are soft yes. but quality wise its good. if you want to make it louder use your hands free connectors and connect it to computer speakers or for that matter an audio video reciever for an even louder sound.

oops yep your correct its only 50% brightness.
the suggestion of completely draining the batteries is also a very good suggestion.

i am frm india.and iam using AIRTEL Network.i am getting 2 operator name (airtel, airtel)in the screen. is ther any option to hide the operator logos.

hi sash i had the same problem but what i did was drained the battery totally flat till the phone switch off by itself and do a full charge. mine can last for one week on standby mode. (meaning no fiddling of phone).....lol

baali, its correct that the minimum brightness is at 50% not 40% so dont panic......lol

for me, this phone is good in shape,autofocus 2mp camera...but it lacks of speaker..this phone only have one speaker and the sound quality is not 3d enough compare to my w550i..of course mine can't hold mmc but 256 mb with 2 surround speaker and stereo widening is fantastic combination to make the music booming..why w810 don't have stereo widening and the sound are not so good?i think among all walkman phone, w550i produce the greatest sound...

I bought a memory stick por duo 2gb high speed for my w810i. the porbleme is a can only use 1gb of hte card's space. I don't know why. I put 1.5gb in music on the card, but when I put the card on the cell phone, some musics dissapear(completly deleted)
I only can listen 900mbs of music the other musics was delected by the phone
I don't know why it is happening.
someone knows wat's happening or have the same problem?

But brithness level is 50% n its the minimum level n i m using head set.signals are full no pronb wid signal.n i tried but my software is up-to-date.
the problem is while on the phone the disply is on n there is no way to turn off.is this prob wid my phone or all w810i's?
hope the new update comes wid the solution but the phone's talking time is 8 hours?!?!?!

i am not familiar with n70 but i heard it has a good video.
the video of the w810 and for that matter all sony ericsson phones are of less quality than the nokia fones. but that does not mean it sucks.
if video is your concern get a nokia. if photos, simplicity of software, good sound quality, value for money and weight/size of the phone is your concern then get an ericsson.

i dont have a problem with the talk time of the phone. but 2 hours of straight talking can really drain that battery. my suggested solution is to lower down the brightness of the phone to 40%. you can also try using the headset when making a call. this at least saves some battery life.
also check the signal of the phone. you might be using it on a place where signal is weak.
finally, download the update. i used to have problems with cut calls but whan i downloaded the update its gone.
using the headsets also saves battery life when playing mp3s.

Hmm ... I have Nokia N70 .. but now i am looking forward to by this fone Simply Bcz Of its Mp3 queality .. tell me if its a good buy or Not ??? is this fone really worth ..

another thing .. I've heard that Video format that this fone records is 3gp ???? which is really Small pixil something about 170x120 .. while n70 has abt video capture of abt 380to 240 !!
