Have been using this phone for the last month now and I'll share a few thoughts upon it. First of all I think that this phone works excellently. I orginally purchased this phone for the fact that I'm a cyclist, not a commuter, but a cyclist. So i wanted a phone that pretty much does it all in one small package. Since wanting to carry seperate phone, camera and mp3 player is just to heavy and takes up to much room in a jersey. So with the 2 meg camera, picture quality is fantastic. The camera function works pretty much like a real digicam, just minus the tele zoom, but image quality, colour, clarity, are far better than any cell camera I've had before. Now for the mp3 player. Yeah i use it sometimes riding. Works great. The added bonus is that the supplied headphone (also fantastic) plug into a headset unit, therefore I can still take/ make calls using supplied headphones, if listening to the mp3 player. While the best feature that I really like is that i can pick up a incoming call by merely saying, "Answer", or any word that I choose, or reject a incoming call by saying, "Busy". This all done handsfree.

Here are some of my cons of this phone.
    1) No customization of menu layout, softkeys.
    2) No copy text available.
    3) No security feature, or PIN protection of applications. ie. messages, phonebook.
    4) Voicedial not the easist to use.
    5) some awkward side button placement and slippery sides of the phone.
    6) no lens cap/ protection.
    7) radio button will activate radio even if keylock is on.

Here are some pros of this phone:
    1) Fast internet
    2) Excellent camera and features of.
    3) Multiple entries per phonebook name such as email address, home address, work address, work, home, cell, pager number, even birthday and misc. notes can be store under a single phonebook entry.
    4) SIMcard can be backed up to memory card.
    5) excellent screen quality.

Still having fun with the phone, got a question for you guys though. Am trying to set up voice dialling via a Bluetooth headset that is recognised by the phone corrrectly (a Nokia HS 36W). The headset works fine when answering calls, both the earpiece and the microphone work with good pickup. However it is not recognising any voice dial prompts.

I record the prompts initially through the phone since the beep to start recording comes through the phone speaker, not the Bluetooth earpiece. I am unable to record the prompt by speaking into the headset only.

Then when trying to make the call after pressing the button on the earpiece I get the correct prompt to start speaking and the appropriate beep sounds through the earpiece but my prompt is never recognised even with extremely simple words. Anybody got any help?

I've had this phone for 2 months before it stopped working. It went totally dead. I took it to the service center where they still cannot give it back to me now after 2 weeks!
I'm very angry at SONY ERICSSON for their bad quality and their bad customer service.

I plan to buy this phone next week, but I have a question about this phone. Is it can also play up to 30h playback if the phone is switched off? I have compared W810 with W800, and I didn't sure if W810 has this feature. Someone please tell me!! Thanks a lot!!

i am about to purchase this mobile tomorrow, i would just like to know one basic thing please from any of you who own this mobile. can you transfer files straight onto the memory card instead of transferring files onto the phone and then onto the memory card via the phone. I need to know if that is possible, transferring files straight onto the memory card from the computer. Thanks to anyone who replies to my problem quickly, as i need to know this before i buy tomorrow. URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED THANKS

I know this phone does not support Bluetooth stereo headphones (A2DP), but I would like to know if this phone support simple mp3 play through simple bluetooth headset,

I used to have a Nokia 6230 with a motorola HS820 bluetooth headset, and hearded the mp3 through bluetooth headset, I would spec at less the same for my new W810.

I am still using my old HS820, but don´t work with the w810, just the calling works.
the mp3 desn´t send the music through bluetooth.

Does someone know, if it`s the phone, the headset or something else.

i was wondering why my phone's battery is decreasing faster than my friend's Motorola

I bought this mobile just 2 weeks back. Satin Black colour (Really tempting), with 2 MP camera and amazing MP3 sound quality, in all a sexy and handy gadget .
Battery life as comapared to nokia is not as good but still with these many features in this Price range , not at all a bad choice.
                            Overall great piece of technology....!

                              Hi everybody!!

Im looking for some advice here. My friend offered me to trade his W810i with my Nokia N70...
Now I don't really use all features that the Symbian OS offers but on the other hand I've an iPod so I dont really know if I'll get to use the "walkman" features much either.
Please help me!1 I cant decide...To me the W810i looks MUCH nicer but I'm affraid of making a mistake if I accept :-/

@Davis - You are confusing yourself. Not all Nokias let you install software so stop saying they do. Only Nokia smart phones accept SIS applications and now Nokia has made it so you cannot use third party SIS aplications. Smartphones are more for business people than the average man on the street (or woman) and Nokia are not the only company to make smartphones.

Is it me or do Nokia fanboys seem to have tunnel vision? They see nothing but Nokia.

did a complete research on this mob, finally decided to go for it (the price just dropped from 19k to 16.5k in the last two weeks)

but had very bad luck... before i bought th mob, i checked for everythin except the camera... when i brought it home, the camera wasn't working! any of you had this problem? the dealer refused to take back, had to give it to the service center, they say the'll replace but after a delay of 15-20 days :(

                                      anybody had such dreadful luck???
