thx a lot guys:) now i hope i can decide wht phone i should buy... i think so. if someone have other opinion on the sound loudness diference betwen w800i and w810i please tell me. more opinions better it gets.

The sound is deinitely louder than the w800. my friend and i compared the loudness on both phones and the w810 was alot louder on both volume and speakerphone

i think the w810i is one of our best phones on the market but why the exposure of the screen? i think its great that SE started providing EDGE for there user!!!

had this fone switched to the e900 and am glad i did so did not like this at all the only good thing was that you could use themes for it even though it was cool for music i still find i hated the design and the everyday use of the fone became annoying if anyone knows if you can use themes on the e900 post me a link .......tnks

hi guys! i wanna buy the W810i but i read some posts that say the sound of W800i is louder than the sound of W810i(when u play music in Walkman).I can't decide wht phone i should buy . Is someone experienced both the phones please tell me wich one of these has o louder sound.I'd really apreciate it. thx!

Hi, I'm having trouble deciding whether to get the W810i or the W900i hehe! Any help would be appreciated. I've been reading reviews about how the swivel-action of the W900i gets annoying and the poor battery life. Which phone would be better to buy? And is there any disadvantages with the screen not being embedded? Cheers!

Just go to www.sonyericsson.com and then find the w810i software page. You can update the UpdateService application by just downloading UpdateService_Inst**.exe and the UpdateService**.pdf for instruction...
Simply follow the instruction.
Your firmware will be updated by just connecting your fone to PC w/ internet connection thru usb cable .
(w810i in shutdown mode with batt but w/o sim card)

I've got this fone last monday and I'm still shocked and amazed for the design and features when I tried the actual unit even I have checked all the pics & reviews from different sites for several months and able to jot down all the nice tips and info's on this forum ( thanx to Arj & Carbonize and the rest here) ..
I've experienced also the minor bugs (flashing light like SOS mode,etc) on the 1st day and it was fixed after I downloaded the latest firmware here in Asia/Phils
"R4DB005" and all my files and settings are still intact after this process.
SE Rocks!...
It's a matter of personal taste if you will go for W810, W800 or K750 ... These fones are all great and the walkman/2mp camera features are really amazing.
My officemates are all amazed with its design & features.
I have few questions:
1. Is there a way to remove the "carrier name" on the top center of the screen?
2. Is the MMS setting network dependent or do I need to check the setting from sony website? I have tried sending MMS from my motorola but it fails.

its not out yet :D
it supposed to be coming out in september/Q3 (three quarters of the year) and even if it comes out in september it wont be available on P.A.Y.G for a long time and it wont be cheap when does become available on P.A.Y.G.
my advice is only buy this phone if you really want it but at the end of te day all the walkman phones do te same things but have something extra added to them like w850i phone has 3G and w810i has EDGE and w900i swivel phone/3g(but dat fne is pretty ugly :P).
only get w850i phone if you can afford monthly contract and even for that, you have to be prepared to wait until it copmes out and find the cheapest deal :D and i currently have no phone just becoz im prepared to save up and get this phone on u-fix when it comes out hehe

u dnt need EDGE wen u have 3g !!!!!!!!! 3g is a step higher from EDGE ! im also tryin to choose a between the sets but the only thing holding me bak from the w850 is its price :(

so youre saying that w810i is better than k750i/w800 but how about the table and the reviews i read.please give me some of your opinion about this phone and can you tell me the difference of this phone compare to k750i/w800 sound quality,camera,features and performance and can you tell me is this phone is louder than the two and about the review i said in other forums they said that the errors was fix it is true and about the camera they said that it is not so smooth can you tell me please is this phone is great.please and thanks for your reply.

Is "firmware" one and the same as "software"? Is the software update offered in the Sony Ericsson site "the firmware" that people are talking about?

Does w800i can show the Equalizer and the Orbital theme found in w810i exactly the same way?(i mean the menu shown in the bottom of the screen that it's selected orizontaly and the playstation-type icons)? pls someone mail me or reply here. thx!
