guys it is very unlikely that sony or ericsson would be stupid enough even as an individual company, to invest in iPOD. have you guys heard the news. HP and its associates have (definitely) pulled out of the iPOD franchise, and now it will be only apple iPOD. and to consider why would SONY want to merge with their competition? i mean people buy SONY'z also bcos iPOD is a bit crappy.

Think u could be right, because as well as everything you said, we should also bear in mind that Apple collaberated with Moto with the ROKR E1 (I-tunes support). I'm sure Moto would have plenty to say if Apple sold them down the river by making a top-end model with their competitor so soon after the ROKR series hit the stores.
I'm sure J@ck must have heard this info somewhere, whether it be reliable info or not - surely nobody would just invent a story like that and waste time typing it out......(that is however unless your name is invincible - we remember you Mr Nokia fantasist!!!!!)

ye stiker m8 u rite dare onli time wil tel am sure dat fone companys wil get it rite in da long run but am also sure dat sum ov da fones dat get released wiv hardrives/microdrives wil b very faulty, however SE as nt dun n e tin like dat yet on a fone but am sure day wil an it wil b interestin 2 c wot day cim up wiv

Like you say, I'd be very wary of the I300X..... looks like a really good bit of kit, but having a harddrive in a phone has gotta mean it'll be a fragile little thing. I've killed a harddrive with one drop before, and I dare say this issue has something to do with why the N91 has been delayed as long as it has. Although I'm sure harddrives/microdrives are the way forward as manufacturers onboard memory is only gonna get bigger and there's only so far you can go with memory cards.
So I'm sure the manufacturers must have found a way to make the phones a little more robust and sturdy than standard harddrives as they'd not be daft enough to release a phone that can only take one drop before having to be returned. Time will tell......

hey evry1 hope all is wel, k strait 2 busines wots ppls opinions on samsung i300x fingy nt convinced myself as i tink avin a hardrive in a fone is v risky. btw cheers striker m8 4 standin up 4 us dare jus bin readin da posts n dat, dint c no names post tink it bin deleted but u get ppl like dat unlike us dat wana help ppl e.g like ken2.5 an urself

actually, im one of nokia big fans family, but...since i was see w810, i consider to buy this one for my second phone, u know..w810 ias good for entertainment but for daily use, nokia stil the BEST.

Walkman, "176x220 resolution" is the screen resolution not the screen size. the w810i is 2mm from top and 2mm from the side larger screen than w800i.

Ab- EDGE is an advanced form of gprs giving you higher download/internet speeds on your phone. it is regarded as 2.75G technology because it is not as advanced as UMTS or full 3G technology.
rikard- sound quality: excellent; key sensitivity is always high and you never have to press hard so sms writing is user-friendly. vibraator will be strong(se have good vibrator) navigation will be easy because there is no more joystick. it should not freeze unless the phone gets buggered/you droop it too many times i.e you break the phone
john- w810 has better internet speed, quadband is thinner, and has an updated look. if you compare that to w800 which only has 14 MB extra int.mem. and that design, you can tell the w810 would be an overall better phone.

i think that this phone has some interestng features, and i have been waiting to buy a good phone for months so all i have to say is i hope this phone arrives on market soon. i really like the older model the w800, which my brother has an it seems like a great idea for me to take this one.so please hurry an get this phone selling!!

EDGE is for fast internet through mobile phone. Something like GPRS but more faster. There is written the speed in the specification above.

when will this phone be available in the swedish market?
i have never had a sony-ericsson before and i wonder whether you can tell me what are the upsides and downsides of such a phone like the w810?
the downside of my samsung is that the vibrator is very weak i dont feel it in my jeans pocket! the downside of nokia in general is that somewhere in 2003 all other phone companies caught up with them and the nokia stayed where they were on the technology level. if it weren't for the merge with sony, ericsson was heading to hell as well. please give me as much info as possible on the sony-ericsson:
1)sound quality good medium bad?
2)sms writing user friendly or not?
3)vibrator and navigation in general?
4)stability? does it freeze?

It sucks that it doesn`t have a cover for the camera in the back-that`s a big downgrade compared to previous models.
