it's a great phone. as my girl is using it. as for people who love music, this is a great phone to use, but as for those who love imaging and video u guys better take one of the Kseries of SE phones. that's why SE made the K series for better imaging. For u guys who have a problem on this phone regarding music and SOUND dont be shy to mail me, i might be able to help u guys... till then.....

hi all . does anyone know how to get this phone to let you know that you have a voice mail. i have tried everything i can think of . on my k750 it came through with a message tone but nothing on this one . cheers in advance .

The video player simply cannot make it. Cannot pause, forward, rewind etc. ONLY can stop. Can it be replaced by any downloaded version of video player?

hey, mine is very fast, maybe my memory stick is high speed , damn fast man. and the mp3 player is awesome, nice , good quality...compare with ipod almost same quality! turn on mega bass is crazy~~ oh my god! i love this phone soooo much! SE i love you!

i got the phone... design is nice and well.. but is too slow for me... i am moving on to a samsung d900... first of all when i paid $400 for this phone i expected alot more... especially autofocus... and for the speed of it to be pretty fast... but nope.. i was wrong... THIS PHONE IS SLOW!!! i regret paying the money for it.. but whatever.. im selling it.. i suggest that if you only want this to show off or for the mp3 player thats it... but this isn't a good cell phone... i am moving on from sony ericsson now... =)

Hi I just noticed my white W850i has cracked on the bottom part of the d/pad!! :o(
I cant believe it, I dont use it for playing games or much texting, but I always had a problem with the bottom directional pad being harder to press than the others
Other than my problem above a wobble slider and the lack of animations in sms (defaults to mms) I still love the phone but Grrrrrr to Sony for flimsy design on their new pad

I got this phone for christmas and I think its great, but some of the songs that I have downloaded will not transfer accross in the disc2phone application. It just says 'No usable music tracks found'. It does not do this for all of them though. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Please help because I really like this phone and this has been the only flaw.

when some one call you the phone shows both the number and the contact name, can we make it only shows the name of the contact.???/?

Video calling---- must be activated through your network first. If your in oz you most likey cant use it due to the fact your sim card isnt upgraded to a 3G sim. Once both of these are done it should be fine. If not then probably settings on phone arent correct either call sony ericsson themselves or ur network provider. Usually wen you go to the contact number you can select to make a video call but you have to be in a 3G coverage area. If it doesnt have a blue symbol in the corner it usually means u dont have 3G coverage. Hope that helped

you do need 3g coverage on the handset check with your provider that you have it in your area to video call

Infernal - you cant chamge the two soft buttons im afriaf, they vary between provider. With uk o2 I had calls & menu where with uk vodafone i have menu & toollbar.
aditya - somebody will give a better answer than this but heres my version. A smartphone is basically windows based. It will either come with windows mobile or be nokia symbian also cater for this. Smartphones are awesome and are more organisation and business based. You have access to awesome programs such as SBSH facade, ilauncher etc...
