i've using my w850 for a month now, and the slider is still firm like new, i'm a frequent phone user myself, so guys don't worry about the slider, it's ok, unless you slide it 500 hundred times a day

had this phone for 2 weeks now and i can honestly say it is the best phone i have ever owned .just changed my xda mini s for it so was a little wary about its capabilities after having the xda.i was not dissapointed one bit , SE have got a winner here, it does everything faultlessly and has not crashed or frozen once(unlike xda)!!
sound quality is excellent and pretty loud too. quality of the handset is also top notch.
if anyone is umming and ahhing about getting one of these , just get one!!

Throw away those other sliders folks! I've always had nokias and recently got a nokia 6280 and it was a blessing in disguise that I lost it after 4 weeks because I bought the w850i. Yes, its taking me a long time to get used to the different menu navigation, but thats because there is OH so much more here. Who else gives you 1GB of memory for strarters? Truly a top class piece of technology.

Im an N73 user, im planning to swap my n73 to get this phone??? is it a good move??? besides when it comes to symbian phones, its really slow... i can say that all nseries do look great but the problem is it hangs up often... please let me know if its a good move???
ive owned a k800i bfore moving to n73 and i love it because it doesnt hang up and its fast tho in my case, i feel that its more of a business type looking phone and it lacks 3.5 standard jack and it uses memory stick micro and i hate it.. im a music lover... a couple of things im concerned if i get this phone:
1. is the picture quality good when it comes to viewing it on the pc or developing it at kodak???
2. the speaker is loud and the quality is good???
3. which is better looking for a teenage guy, the black or the white color

Hey some People are saying the sliding will be a problem after some.time is that true.& is this phone is gud for hard use ?.Coz i want to use 24/7 How abt the camera quality & video.Please advice me coz i looking these days to buy.

w850i is waayyyy better man, this phone is the best and there probly isnt a better phone out there, the light sensitive thing on the top of the phone is the best. this is a must buy, i have a black one the white looks GAY

user from manila here as well... this phone is probably the best phone i've had after nokia 6210 & SE k750i. almost perfect with some very minor flaws. really satisfied with this unit & no regrets even if it hurt my wallet/piggy bank a lot! (,")

Yes its a lil bit faster than a W900, BT the W900 is stil beta, if u move from W900 to W850 then u must be crazy! bt hey we all hav different tastes,AND W850 in White is soo nice :-)

well i can use a 4 gig card in my w900, so i would imagine the answer is yes you can

Hi, W850i user from manila here...this phone is great, no negative feedbacks on this phone. For those who are confused comparing W850i to other SE walkman phones...i had a W900i before and the big difference is the size of course, W900i is way to slow compared to W850i, W850i's sound is excellent, loud, the display is very bright, the walkman 2.0 player is cool and responsive, camera is good even without autofocus much better if it is 3.2megapixels, the slider mechanism is solid, i have a white W850i and its cool. A best buy from sony ericsson this xmas for those who are planning to get a new phone.
