Hope sony ericsson release their software soon as im waiting to reflash software from vodafone to o2.
Had to upgrade on my wifes vodafone contract due to my o2 handset being stolen but now have vodafone c**p all over the phone software plus obviously no o2 active etc...
My local mobile repair shop say no software available to them to reflash yet, anybody in the know as to when it may be available??

I went to the store yesterday and checked w850i and the phone is really cool. It's P19,000 pesos here in the philippines and that's almost $400 USD. The only thing I doubted about is the slider, it's kinda moving when you press it and the navigation keys are hard to press, hope it wont sink and will last long. But anyways it's more cool than the other phones out there!

this phone is wikid, the screen quality and cameran quality is the best. the back of the slide can be very prone to finger prints and the navigation buttons are quite hard to push.i also dont like the way that wen you have your head phones in the ring tone sounds still come from the loud speaker. over all the phone gets a firm 9/10 from me. i have a k700i aswell and the w850 beats that. i also have a NOKIA 6600 and thats the best fone ever!!

you can asign a ringing tone of your choice to profiles so not sure where you got that information from!!!

anyone who disses this fone is just way to picky, i work in a phone shop so i know and have tried all the latest phones and this is by far the best phone on the market!! it has everything you need. if your complainin about having a 2.0 meg cam then go out and but yourself a bloody digital camera! you customers are so bloody awqward

Its a myth that SE phones have the best 2MP camera's this is because when the k750i came out it blew everything else out the water however the pictures do look washed out on SE. Since the samsung D600 was released samsung now make the best 2mp camera phones along with the samsung e900. These samsung phones cant be touched for quality photos. The pictures are rich and thick in colour SE however k750i, w800i w850i all look worse than samsung. pictures look washed out on w850i its very poor. THE W850I DESIGN looks like something out of a old doctor who british movie retro and uninspiring. SE simply don't pay enough attention to design take the camera lens on all their phones for example all look the same round and silver tacky no thought goes into them. Then take a look at how samsung make different designs and shapes just on the camera lens. Look how perfectly stylish the keypad looks on the samsung e900 with its chrome centered vertical bezels inbetween the centre keys and perfectly shaped elegant keys then take a gander at the cheap tacky retro looking w850i keypad with lego like looking keypad. The plastic on samsung phones is of significant quality its shiny it feels smooth it looks like metal infact not plastic. Now look to disapointment on the plasticky w850i, k750i all the SE phones feel hollow and toy plastic to the touch.

I bought this phone 3 days ago. So far, this phone is perfect for me. BUt sadly the camera is not as good as other sony ericsson phone. But it still serves as a 2 mega pixel purpose. my conclusion, if u like to hear music, get this phone, if u like u take pictures, get k800i. Sony Ericsson still rocks!

this hp design very nice .... its perfect ... but the navigation key very hard to press .... last time i use k750i ... now i changed to this w850i ... the camera is sucks ... k750i camera is the perfect ...

i change my w810i to w850i.. its really good, what disappointed me is the camera quality is not as good as w810.. i can say it.. it is really farrrrrrr behind w810.. i love this fone though.. its better than other brand 2mp camera fone

this phone is too expensive! for such few features like walkman 2.0 , and 1 gB memory card in the package :(

N73 for symb and w850 for music
you pick music or camera
N73 3.2 auto foc
w850 2.0 non auto focus but still you just need non shakey hands
I prefere my w850 cause I liek music and you just have to try the mega bass on it it's crazy ~!
