The sliding of W850i was quite OK and non-loose if compared to samsung Z400. The menu button was hard to pressed when i got it, but u will get used to it later..anyway, it's easy to press 2 buttons at one time especially i got big fingers. It's not very convenient to slide the phone because the "walkman" orange button was below the "pushing bar"..anyway, u won't need to slide it oftenly except u want to type message or searching name through phonebook...

Got this phone on an upgrade from a SE V600. The design is excellent and it feels well built and solid. I love the way I can access all its functions from the outer buttons, without having to open the slider and use the no. keypad. (Can't rem the last time I actually typed in a no. to ring someone on my mobile!)
The pictures and video clips I have taken so far are quite good. They are an improvment on the v600, especially the response time and lag when shooting moving objects in video clips.
This phone bundled with a 1GB card with Vodafone UK. I don't need this for music as I have an Ipod but it is certainly usefull to use as a mass storage device between

I got the white version from 02 couple days ago..the camera is not good..is very bad to not to include the "auto focus" feature in..it's even worst when compare it with my K800i..

the light effects when playing music from the walkman function was fantastic.

                    n9kd,

Q: does this fone support flight mode ??
                    A: Yes

Q: what about installing dictionaries ??
A: Sorry, not sure on that one

                    Q: the slider ? good ? or creakin ?
A: Very very good. Really solid. The only weak point on the phone is the battery cover. It's not bad, just not as solid compared to the rest of the phone.

Q: ahh, does support fullscreen video playback ???
                    A: Yes

                    Q: in landscape mode?
A: Yep, you can choose which way to view the playback.

Disappointing camera, even K610i are better not to mentioned the old K750i. Only one speaker on the back of the phone for walkman phone is not good enough, W550 with 3 speakers stereo sound till today still the best walkman phone on the market.

The price of this W850 is definitely overpriced, sold my W850 within 2 days and bought back the K800 & now very happy.

At this moment in Singapore, so far the best phones are K800 & N73 and the rest so so...
Go for the Best and forget the Rest...
