It plays 3gp format videos, and m4a/mp4/aac music.
The crack in the d-pad for mine was fixed under warranty. it's minor and extends from the little bottom dot to the play button. Happened from using fingernail right in that area.
After several firmware updates, earpiece volume is still on the low side.

I got my W850i about a month ago, my battery lasts me all week, you see when you get a new phone, your meant to charge the battery all night/day, for the first charge!! then the battery life will be awesome. And when you charge it for the first time, you must let the battery run itself dead off the first charge(it must turn itself off), this gives the battery proper "memory"....

Talking about movie files... What converters do people use to make 3gp clips? Do you use youtube as a source?

I think theres NO NEED TO TURN OFF the phone while taking off the memory card.. Haller?! Thats the purpose of HOT SWAP, thats why it is placed outside, not under ur batteries - for convenience of not turning off the phone anymore while removing it. duh

U can take the memory card out while its on but its not advisable. You'll find tha\t this will cause the phone to freeze. With any phone u r meant to turn the phone off first before taking the memory card out :) hope this helps

I have removed the memory card with the phone on, nothing happens, so go ahead. I'm very dissappointed in the volume on the phone, i also have a N91, it doesn't compare! Walkman phone should blow your head off, unfortunately not!
