Yea KMAN I know about the stock shortage .
Iv'e been waiting for about so 3 weeks now in South Africa for Sony Ericsson W850i.

Hi, W850i is by far an X-Quisite mobile device i've owned! But have a problem with it: It seems to be blocked becoz it wont accept any networks. When i powerit on I receive an error msg that says "INACTIVE SIM". does anyone have an idea how i can bypass this?

yes aleong without any problems at all. Twice ive used divinci and both times successful very easy and well worth the money.

I don't know about world wide shortage but I'm getting mine this evening in Cape Town there's stock.

my phone wont show me my missed calls, the internet appears as soon as a call is missed...it wont even list who i've called either..i'm wondering if its a fault with my phone or if i am doing something wrong, any suggestions??

aleong my w850i is debranded and running better than ever. As well as clearing all the useless menus installed by providers it also clears the memory up deleting a load of images/videos and themes again installed by the provider.
As far as branding the device again it can be done but I believe its alot more difficult and expensive as I think it must be done by the provider themselves, so you can imagine the cost :(

this phones jus ausum man the sounds too good and looks like a model in white this is the first non-smartphone i liked after k750i i m so happy i dint go for the moto roker the sound of this phone is just terreficly loud

This PHone IS Great man i Love the speakers on the phone and track id is crazy this phone batter life is amazing i play music all day and have many calls and does last the whole day for one night of complete chargin i got a day of listin and calls without worryin about battery.

the w850 is far superior than any other make of phone with the same spec
the functions on this phone are excellent but the design of it is appauling
unlucky for me i am now stuck with it for 10 more months
i am on my 4th yes 4th replacement.
Number 1 kept crashing on me especially when bluetoothing i had to take the battery out to reset
Number 2 kept turning itself off when i closed the slider
Number 3 same as Number 1
Number 4 is ok but when someone from a witheld or unknown number calls u it doesnt display "withelf" or "unknown" its just a blank calling screen
if your want a walkman phone get the new slim w880 which feels really sturdy like the k800
