Do you guys think when we're having a phone call with someone using this phone, the sound output is a bit too soft and feezy that you cannot even hear what the other party is talking? How do I solve this?

I think they both accept the max. siza, 4, 8 gb w850 and w880
In fact, now I am using a 2gb micromstick in both (with adapter in w850)

hi i have this phone for 4- 6months and let metell u its a good phone to have buh one p roblem i need to know how do u fix the slider meanin like when u slide up the phone it slack and it leftin up can that be fix or not cause if so then i might have to get the 810 plz tell em if it can be fix

if i buy W810i i will Looose the WALKMAN 2.0 and the 240+320 display and the compatibility for 8GB MS PRO DUO and 3G
W850i is better then W810i
if you want a phone which is a Mix of both W850 & W810 .go for the New W610i !

I was using the moto V3x but now i switched to this SE w850. N now i found this phone better in the music quality n camera. But motorola v3x is better in other fone function. i also found better receiption in V3x than SE w850i. But as i m music lover, i pefer this phone .

The Reason why NO autofocus is becuase this phone is a Slider.why did SE decide to put a slide on this phone ?

Battery covers are always hard to open when the mobile is new. After a months' use it will be fine.

I use a W800 at the moment and really like this phone, but now I have my doubts, especially with the camera. What's the real point of SE removing the autofocus and macro off later Walkman phones?

you cant open it? y? u need a manual for opening d phone? what's with the "glue" thingie? juz admit it... ur that stupid that u cant even take the cover out...
maybe u want to try nokia... they're very user friendly... their covers come off even if you dont want to take them off...

The w850i phone is an amazing piece of technology. With the Walkman 2.0 interface, songs and their artists are easy to find and organize. The sound quality is among the best in mobile phones, mirroring the standard in many top quality mp3 players. Also supplied are top quality in-ear earphones that create great sounding music with the isolation of ambient noise. I have tried many mobile phones including phones by Samsung (D900) and Nokia (N73 music edition, N80), NONE of their phones match the sound quality of the w850. Also, the w850i has the ability to expand its memory using MS PRO DUO cards, being able to store alot more than the nokia n73-80 which tops out at 2GB. I currently have an 8GB card inserted in the phone and have no problems yet. Although the 2mp camera is lacking auto focus which makes objects that are close by a little blurry, the picture quality is decent (almost that of the SE k750) and (mite I add) of printable quality. The user interface copies many of Sony Ericsson's (SE) previous phones, I believe the only reason why SE does not change it's interface is because of its ease of use. Although the SE W850 is a great phone, there is one flaw that i dislike about the design. The bottom nub on the D-pad is extreamly hard to press when i first got the phone, but as i used the down key more often (mainly for scrolling through music) the bottom nub became easier to press. Living in Canada which uses mainly the 850 band (a feature that the w850 does not include), I realized that the triband w850 had great reception. Not once have I had a dropped call, and only in places that are underground (subways, some underground parking lots) have i had no reception. To conclude my opinion, the W850i is one of the greatest non-smart phones avaliable on the market, boasting a great battery life and stylish sliding designs, the w850i can be considered as an all around phone challenging the top position as a mp3 player, a camera, a phone, and an organizer.

Ya RIGHT :---->>> the most poorly designed: battery cover won't come off (because SE used an ELEPHANT glue to stick dat damn cover) and I have the phone for only a day and I can't open the memory card slot cover tried everything (Olso SE used an ELEPHANT glue to prevent users from opening their memory card slot). Have to take the phone back. Piece of garbage (Nope, it's a piece of rotten cheese).
