Who actually uses radio on their phone?!
I haven't used mine once.
Got an iPod... and if it's a Music phone... then who needs radio for music?!
And news... 5 minutes reading on mobile web'l do!!

Nice slim design good to see that sony ericsson are now concentrating on looks. All their phones are really good spec-wise its just the size and shape that let them down in the past in my opinion. Well Done!

Dear Sony Ericsson,
Kindly understand clearely that unless you do not bring 3G and Radio together ; neither W610 nor W880 will gonna get success. See N70 which is EDGE, 3G and Radio enabled. Are you blind or something ? Apart from the features missing qualities your phones are still very costly....what is this ?

To add to my original summary... I'd like to top it off by saying that this phone is mainly aimed at the Fashion Conscious Music Lover. I dont think SE intended it to compete with other camera phones as, as the name suggests, its a WALKMAN phone. So if ur a Music Lover whose into sleek designs and sexy lines and who wants to listen to music with quality sound, then this is ideal.
The W880i is a welcomed accessory to most Music Lovers attire...

Nah, i'm not kidding! The W880i does NOT have a flash. Look at the back of the phone where the camera is, can u see a flash next to the lens? Answer: NO! And if ya dont believe me, look around at the SE site and it'll confirm the obvious.
So, i'll think u'll find that the summary is NOT BAD at all.. and sums up quite nicely the features (BY FACT) of the models..!!!

SAMSUNG 3G PHONE?

I suppose we can not expect too much from such a slim, light weight phone. Yet, given its size, it packs an impresive amount of features, not to mention 3G. It will all come up to the price.

1 it's a design tipe mobile with a verrrrry good mp3 player
if you want high tech they got them but this targets the fashion people how want to listen to very good qualsty music and take a snap shot from time to time
i love this phone it's superb(an unike)

To sum this phone up...
ONE: The W880i is pretty much like a W800i, except its slighly better looking, no infra-red port, has no flash or autofocus, no Radio but does have 3G technology. They both have 2MP cameras and extendable memory.
TWO: The W880i is very similar to W850i except, its not a slide phone and the W850i has infra-red and flash.
OVERALL: Not much different than the previous walkman phones!
And what was SE thinking when they decided not to include a RADIO on a WALKMAN phone?!!

This phone is mint!!! Totally amazing mp3 player, it's small, stylish and will be a massive seller. It's so slim line and super lightweight

WOW!!! This fone rocks with its looks but not feature wise. It goes for the people who are into music and style. If you want fast, reliable and good built handset go for SE.^_^

Nice 'lil' phone, 2 mega fair enuf cos it's thin, No EDGE.. why? and no radio... that is pretty bad. Ok it comes with a 1GB and it's 3G and it adopts the Black and Orange colour scheme which is brilliant. Its not a great step from the W810i, but really it's just another W850i without radio. As long as its fairly priced on contract i'd rather go for the new W200 or stick with my trusty W810i

Not so good. Sony is slightly getting off track. We need larger screens and better features.
