eke, 04 Aug 2009i want to buy a phone , because i got a nokia 5200 a year a... morenokia 5200 was a great phone back then im a huge fan of nokia xpress music series currently im using a nokia 5800 xpress music touch & a nokia n81 8gb - im not into s.e. walkman series but i would like to help u with ur question . - as far as i know s.e. w880 & w395 both got 2 mp cameras which are slimier to each other . w880 is a bit outdated but still famous and the w395 is a bit new to the market yet it isnt popular like the w880 . from the screen size w880 got the bigger display . w880 is thinner than a cd casing that it will fit right inside ur pocket its slim and sylish - the orange and black color version is perfect it will take ur eyes out but the all silver and black color version of it isnt that cool . w395 is a bit bulkier but will still fit ur pocket also its a slider design so if u like slider phones u will like it . w880 got no fm radio but the w395 does . also the w395 lacks 3g connectivity and no front video caller cam , but the w880 got 3g speed connectivity and a front video caller cam which might become handy for u . prize wise both phones are the same . and as the specs shows talk time is better in w395 but in my opinion it doesn't matter cuz the w880 supports 6 to 7 hours of talk time anyway .
from both - my choice is w880 cuz it got 3g and video calling facility , but if ur gonna miss the fm radio if u think it may become handy w395 is good but u will have to loose 3g capabilities and video calling feature .
from the designs i like the candy bar thinner design of the w880 . w880 wins for me anyway .

i want to buy a phone , because i got a nokia 5200 a year ago , and i'm tired of it .... and i want to buy a new one, and i thought i buy now a sony ericsson phone ... and i don't know wich one to choose : sony ericsson w880i or w395 ... i readed a few things and a few comments about these phones, but i don't know wich one to choose... i don't expect much from a phone, these phones fit to my requirements....i just want a cool phone with good music, wich will not make me nervous

does this phone have non-camera type?because in my school we don't use phones with cameras and i love this phone very much

my 2nd s.e phone, b4 this i use w810i.. i like its thin and light body, clear display and sounds although it cant be patch and customize easily, not like my prev w810i.. the thing is, its bluetooth cant be turn on, even im not using bluetooth frequently, but its frustrating especially when i want to send or receive files from others or when i want to use my wireless handsfree. the speaker also not as loud as my prev phone, the camera is undoubtly below average,battery life is to short, keypad is hurting for ones who always messaging, still no standard 3.5mm audio jack(whyy??). but, after all, quite nice phone to use.

hadeel, 20 Jul 2009very nice fone i have it before 2 yearsgreat phone. very thin, light weight, great data features, great music player & sound quality, comes with really nice bud earphones, great battery life, heaps of java apps available. i like it so much i bought a spare

I am very disappointed in the W880i . I can't wait to upgrade in 3 months time. Had problems with it since day one when I got it. Many times people tell me they called me, but the phone was next to me. The camera sux unless it's really a bright sunny day. It's more full of nonsense than a woman with PMS. If i just put in down, it's shuts down and I have to struggle about 5 minutes to get it on again. the battery life is pathetic, I don't use it that much, becuase of these problems, but it don't last more than a day and half. The keys are extremely tiny and hurst the finger tips when you try to type a long sms. I won't reccommmend it to any one!

I'm writing here to complain. I now have a sacond W880i after the first one's display defected (turned black just so, without showing anything on it but the phone was still working). now I hawe another W880i and it seems that this one has a problem with the display too. This model has serious problems, it's not good, I advise you not to buy it if you don't want surprises. I have two w880i models both with display problems

I think the W880i is the slimmest phone ever with all these superb features..
I've been using this phone for the past two years and have given me no problens till date...
It's slim, light and easy to carry around...
Though it's keypad is a bit fidgety, it turns out to be good....
The only problem is that it lacks a radio...

I'm using this phone for more than a year and I never had any problem with it. It's slim, handy and easy-to-use. Although it does not have WiFi but it's so fast and light. The quality of its camera is fine enough, as long as it's not a camera-phone. I admit its keys are so tiny and small, but this harsh time is only for the first few days and I got used to them and I feel great with it. One of the most important things that is missing in the review of this phone is that it has a scratch-resistant screen and body. If you need a phone ONLY for making some calls, sending text message and hearing songs I assure you Sony Ericsson W880i is the best phone you may ever get.

i love my w880i .. it's my first time using sony ericsson and i was afraid i may not understand it, but i found it a very smart phone and a very practical one also, but i agree on the disadvantage of the buttons ,, it's so small and hurts the fingers" specialy for a girls nails....kidding"
one other thing : there is no long term car charger...this is toooooo bad ..
