tsepz,, ,i know wat you are saying in that as phones progress up the scale wether it be slimmer,, better camera or watever you expect that the next model at least has all the apps or controls or features as the model before it..So wat im saying is if a fone is then bettered in the SAME catagory of fone or model you at least expect it to contain features that were in the last fone but either bettered or have more features NOT to go backwards in function.I personnelly use radio wen in good reception to listen to something not as battery intensive as mp3 yet still entertaning to pass time ..Even nokias n80 wich i hav does have bad battery but is quoted to last 27 hrs on one charge using fm radio only.
IF your like me i use all functions that a handset has so its no good me getting the n95 because of its five mp cam wen 3mp is more than enuf and i dont need satnav,,i think people want top specs wen most people honestly never use the apps or just have cam as gimmick,in fact, most probably fotos never even get printed.IVE done all that since 1998 and am now happy without a topset fone because they are bulky;;and why have a big smartfone wen you can have a fone like this or samsung d900 wat im using with features that you will honestly use and in a slim unit without all the bugs and troubles etc,,,HERES to slim fones that truly most people only need and are preety big in features and big battery life,,and my radio? well its a £1 shop fm radio wich does the job perfectly..

okay so if we are so dumb then tel us why does W880 not have radio? huh? tel us! its a WALKMAN PHONE and so far all Mid-end to high-end WALKMAN phones have had radio why shud w880 be an exception? this is a great phone and SE cud have ALEAST let this phone come with the W900 headset (HPM-80) which have a radio/remote control, this phone would have sold even more if it had that and SE wud gain even more but they are obviously busy with the W900 successor which wil include W880 features and sooo much more!

now i know why people are asking about speaker loudness ,, there all going out on the streets with these things as mini ghetto blasters..Well i say bring back these days of the boombox as i still collect them but day by day firms are not releasing them.

But people who do not understand that need to be helped to understand, that is why this webside exist. W880i is good mobile.

those who complain much about the lack of functionality of w880i are those people who are a complete big dumb ass!!! y is it that you don't understand the concept of a target market?! maybe you are all dumb to know that.. offcours certain products have their own distinction suitable for their specific target consumers!!! IF YOU DON'T WANT IT THEN DON'T BUY IT!! as simple as that... and if you still don't understand it... then I don't know what I will do with you guys...
w880i is a great phone and so are all the phones out there... just don't be bias in choosing...

i think about this celular,too much expensive
for the little tecnology.
no have radio.no flash.
the w880 is true trash.....
the more bad no is auto focus.
only stetic.no quality.
if you buyer,think two time again...

waiting on my silver w880 to arrive ..is it hard to write text messages some people tell me the keys are hard to work with .. i had the t66 and t600 and i found them ok to text with and they where small handsets..

I have mine in Aus,I can type Chinese and even change into simplified Chinese language. Maybe you might want to play around the phone before you buy. Aweesommeee phone!!!

Oh!!! So does the SE phones come with chinese language option already?! So if i buy it in say, USA... i could still turn it to Chinese mode if I go to asian countries???
Coz long time ago... they didn't. So when my friends send me msgs in chinese i could never read them!!!
Hopefully they've finally made it like digital cameras and DVs where u can change the languages! ^_^

i'm gonna get this phone after the price has dropped. the price of sony ericsson's phone always dropped very quickly. be patient everyone. after a few months you'll get this phone in your hand!!

Sony Ericsson is good as phone and more good we can say excellent, but there are bad things is theis phone dont have new technology like Nokia.
But Nokia is opposit of Sony Ericsson its not good as phone but good for busines, options, and technology. So i think i will buy both of them, and by the way i dont care about other mobile phone cause NOKIA AND SONY ERICSSON are the best.

Sent this phone back after 2 days !
Nice looking handset, slim to fit easily in your pocket, but features are poor.
Excellent phone if you don't need a camera (it's absolutely useless),not having a radio isn't much of an issue to me. Keypad has to be one of the worst ever ! Don't buy this phone if you send a lot of texts, unless you got fingers the size of a baby.

this mobile is the best i ever bought.I bought a lot of mobiles and this is the best.It doesn't broke easily and i'm sure of that but is so easy to handle and so cool.I'm in love with that phone!

thin..light..excellent picture quality..
no fm radio..no flash..
well..is it good enough?
about the design..i think it is one of the best ever..
but..using mobile phone is not only about the design of the phone..but the features and performance is the important things..
u r not going to buy the phone just because of the way that phone look aren't u?
in my opinion..if i wanna buy any phone because of the 'cute' design..i'll buy SE W880..
but..if i wanna buy the phone because of the features.. better i buy N73 or N70..

This is a brilliant phone !! picture quality is good, solid feel, beautifully finished stainless steel casing . functionality is good and very simple to use menus. I'm not impressed with the sound of the loudspeaker as it sounds scratchy! no flash and radio but i would take pictures in the day anyway.
