I got the w890 about 2 months back.
Review:
1.Style & slimness is excellent
2.weight & durability is excellent(i unintensionally dropped it and only small scratch is seen.no internal damage due to thin but strong metal casing.)
3.Music quality is excellent
4.Call quality is excellent
5.Camera is good for a music phone
6.Signal reception is ok
7.External sound volume is poor
8.Battery life is good but not exceptional
9.No 3.5mm head phone jack
Battery testing:2hrs music usage,1hr talktime,rest standby a day and battery is at about 78-82%(good enough)

my w890i plays so soft. i got a w810i also but the sound is much louder. anything i can do?

Looks great but actually crud i had multiple failures recep/batt/swiching off/caller tone/recharging/call divert/SE. SE recall them. Better still, Find a different direction. Thanx for my kids new toy

i av checkd evrythng da volume is high Ring style is on ringing But afterall nt working Bcoz The Speaker IC is damage But the if i play music in File manager OR in Walkman It works & the ringtones only can b heard in handsfree..
So Can ne1 tell dat z ds problm presist in other Erikson Cell phones Or odr W series????????

there are three speakers in W series in wch the IC of ringtone speaker stop responding or damaged.
So go to the Sony Erikson Help support & throw ur W890 on their face to fix da problem

Cfc, 10 Dec 2008can anyone tell me,dis phone's camera gd or not?The Camera? depends on location,for outdoor : it's very very cool,but indoor especially under low lighting...nothin' u can count on,just 2 remind U with 3,2Mp camera it's still a WALKMAN phone not CYBERSHOT series,but i still luv this phone coz we buy its music power & slim design as priority,right?

I have the espresso black version of this phone. It's interface is pretty good, the mp3 player is decent, the sound quality is pretty good.
The ringtone does not work any more which means I miss ALOT of calls. The camera is pretty useless in the dark, during the day its fine.
The battery time is not bad but not good either.
6/10 for the phone.
Does anyone know how to fix the ringtone issue?

W890 is good choice. If compare wit W595 I'll choose W890. W595 3G using bhind camera, i hate it!^^

If you are having trouble getting signal with this phone maybe its your carrier. I have had this phone for many months now and have never had a problem with the signal. The phone occassionally turns itself off sporadically but other than that lol

Never had any problems with the phone. No signal or battery issues. For me it is a great phone.
