DONT EVER BUY THIS FON!!!!!
within a week of me buying it, the speaker stopped working. n i took it to d service centre, n they sed the component is spoilt.. i asked them to replace d fon, n they rnt ready to do it@!!!
n the best part is, d component isnt even available!!!
THIS SUCKS MAN!!!
i only get 2 knw abt calls thru d vibration!!!
n the SIGNAL is even worse! it randomly drops d call...!! its unbelievable, i think all of us should file a petition to sony ericsson 2 either refund our money or replace the handset with another fon!!
This is too much, n se shud not hav come out wid d fon, if the R&D of d fon was so bad!!
All of us have wasted our money and a lot of people will continue to do so...but we have to take a serious step!! THIS IS SERIOUSLY NOT DONE!!

Silver, 14 Nov 2008I need some advice i think of buying me a SE w890 is it wor... moreIve had one for 2 months and its the worst phone ive ever had, it keeps dropping signal or having no signal at all in areas where signal is available. It has been returned for checking and ive been told there is nothing wrong with it. I wouldn't recommend buying one.

pls.could anyone help me!!!!i cannot use internet on this mobile,my service provider keep me sending the setting but i cannot save it! it showing authentication failed!!!messages discarted!!!i try so many times,i already did so many option on setting but still i dont have connection on internet.before im using my sim card on nokia e61i its no problem,what shall i do pls. anyone knows how to set the setting pls.help.....

i hate it! i hate!. i dunno whats wrong with this fone. all is fine except for the charging. it wouldnt charge unless i move it several times. after 4months of using the phone. this prob occured. i dont know if the problem is the charger or the fone itself. haaay... its pissin me off

Anyone with the center gold key scratched? I don´t know when I scratched mine but I´m sure that was scratched by my finger nail. Called SE about this and they said that the warranty doesn´t cover this type of issue.

i thought that this is a perfect phone for me, having 3.2MP in a walkman phone (though i really don't find its design classy)
good thing i haven't bought it yet.

Nice PR but the fact is that W890 makes lousy pictures and horrible video. Even SE staff never denied that - are you new?
No autofocus!!!!!
No flash!!!!!!!
The buttons are very small and purely designed.
The problems with the battery and with reception were widely reported!
And there are all kind of problems with this model.
Many places do not sell it anymore.
The last price was pretty low but nobody was interested. I guess SE went to the bottom and just pull them.

I had the phone and from a very detailed analysation of the photos it capytures about 10-15 fps in video mode. On the other hand the still images from this phone are so great full of colors even better than previous SE 3.2MP cyper-shot. It takes the still shot in about one sec exactly or may be less. Once you hit the capture button you have the pic. Then the processing (saving) takes place. Unlike other phones which takes at least 3 sec to get the shot then 3 sec to process the image. Its a great cyper-shot. And the greatest walkman ofcourse.
