they do
but SE's sound is just that bit more crisp and clear
there doing something to get there sound like that, WITHOUT sound chips
i sopppose SE dont need them, there sound is already good enough
i dont why but it is..

ones with them sound better than the ones that dont.
walkman doesnt have them, xpressmusic does.
it is a simple concept. it isnt a case of SE's good anyway. no, its not good enough in comparison.
sony ericsson dont use 'special' hardware which makes the music sound better

My PC Suite was working all fine till now.
connecting automatically to the phone when spotted (via bluetooth).
lately it stopped connecting to it.
any reasons why?
the PCphone BT connection is ok as i can push and get files from the phone via BT.

Do you have to use the head-phones to operate the FM radio. If you do, can a bluetooth stereo head-phones do the job.

The extended battery would really help if you need to use 3G especially if 3G provides better reception in your area, if available.

the zoom is only available in ... more3.5G would be nice but only if it's available in your area.
If you're living in the States, forget it!
Att/Cingular is the only one that has it BUT it's available ONLY in certain parts of the country!
That said...
a 3.5mm port would be better since it's a Walkman phone but I understand the need for the adapter so people can use that to answer calls then go back to the music.
Why not include the 3.5mm port and include a MIC adapter for calls?? That'll fix the issue!

The higher capacity battery does give the phone a longer life.
It does bulge very slightly near the M2 port but, really, it's not noticeable especially if the phone is in a case!

okay but dani the nokia series come with headsets too, so you can just plug them in there. it isnt as if you cannot use a headset with a nokia.
and yes dani i have used a walkman and they're not that great. almost every review about walkmans says that.
they just aren't that great. why cant SE put a proper sound chip in it? oh wait that would cost them money.

the sound quality is sooo crisp and natural and clean, it sounds like the song is live
as for 3.5mm jack, id rather have it on a headset adaptor so when im listening to music and i recieve a call i can simply press a button and answer the call use it as a mic so if i get a phone call, i can simple press a button and speak through it!
if the phone had 3.5mm jack built in, wouldnt i be faffing around pulling out the earphones connected with the 3.5mm jack and then speaking lol
that would be soo embarrasing!

thats a load of rubbish. it has a sound chip in it or it doesnt dani! the ones with them sound better than the ones which dont. is it that hard to comprehend.
and dani if you bought an ipod which didnt have a 3.5mm jack you wouldnt be happy, so why should you accept it with a music phone!
oh and SE in box headphones are hardly better than seinhessier ones(or however you spell it). they are produced in mass bulk and SE wouldnt exactly bother making them great. its not like SE ever bother stepping the extra mile. look how featureless their phones are

Walkman earphones are just as good as Sennheiser CX300 earphones, they both look the same and are the same in terms of quality..
so why pay that extra £30 on Sennheiser, when a Walkman phones comes with the same type!
anyway W890i is worth its price considering it has HSCDA 3.5G and better earphones in the retail package and Stainless steel Body..since its a Sony the sound quality is as good as a iPod
Samsung supply the Audio Chips to iPods anyway..
Sony dont need it, since theyv have always been known for great Sound Quality!
