clearly on a music phone, a 3.5mm jack is more useful lol!
yeah the 5700 is actually lacking in features. thats a first for nokia but it is showing its age a bit.
both are music phones. music features should come first, but no, the SE walkman lacks the basics. 3MP cam and HSDPA without a 3.5mm jack or any kind of audio acceleration??

the zoom is only available in VGA Resolution, but its a 3MP !
anyway 5310 doesnt offer 3.5G?
W890i Does..
so which would you go for 3.5G or 3.5mm jack?
or 3.5G and 3.5mm jack adaptor on W890i which has Both..
but 5310 can only what the 3.5mm jack which isnt as useful as 3.5G which W890i HAS!

CONCLUSION:
This phone is a great phone it looks like the Motorola slvr but better has a lot more features, but sometimes due to its small design the quality of the sound isn't so great. the sound quality is almost clear but has a destortion because it has small speakers. Sometimes i missed calls and i get a voice mail when i didn't even hear my phone ring, but either its the phone or the service i use. For rockers who wear tight jeans and skinny jeans this is a great phone it'll fit unlike those other bulky phones, but this is a con for people who wear loose, baggy clothes, your always going to check if your phone is still there or if it fell out of your pocket. What really matters is the quality of the phone not the size because sometimes the best quality phones come out of the little bigger, fatter phones.

if u want ur battery to last long, turn off the 3G. Mine lasts for 4-5days

Symbian ----Useless?
What a shame, you don't even know what are you talking....
I myself proved it that symbain is very useful, my phone is 5700XM and it don't have ngage flatform like the latest version nokia have... but because it is a fast symbian phone i even managed to hacked my fone to install the ngage and NOW i'm playing a lots of ngage games on my phone and guess what
I don't need to use my joystick to play a game.. i can remap my keys in every single application i have......
see how symbian is flexible

well said anonymous. why have all the top brands moved onto 3.5mm jacks yet SE are stuck with their 1835672496246 pin connector.
maybe people want 3.5mm jacks...
and hey, if you want a headset with your nokia, they give you one free, but you dont HAVE to use it, its just optional.
and stop using the headphone argument, yes the ones in the nokia box suck but anyone who cares about music has their own headphones anyway.
and btw symbian is superb. hardly useless. the standard music player on a nokia is simple but very effective.
and yeah walkmans look better but phones spend 98% of their lives in your pocket so who cares, plus it's a music phone.
xpressmuisc phones put music as a priority, not gaining as much money on their phones by removing decent audio hardware like SE.
sound quality on walkmans is VERY medicore

Audio chip- it has proven to be better: the NOKIA N91, N81 , SAMSUNG i450, Serenta, MOTO Z10 etc. . .all have audio chips and all put the WALKMANs to shame.
3.5mm jack- extremely useful thats why ALL the best multimedia devices made by SAMSUNG, NOKIA, MOTOROLA, LG, APPLE, BB etc. . .have it. The SE standard headphone port sux, and fails after some time of use and is generaly un-user friendly.
You're defending something thats not worth defending. Looks are personal.

Audio Chip - SE dont need it, there sound it already Good
3.5mm jack - its got it in the headset
and WALKMAN Phones look good to!, the W890i looks sexy and slim!
