I do not understand what has happened to SE.
One lousy phone after another.
W890 (initial price 500USD)
- small screen
- no WIFI
- no autofocus
- no flash
- weak speakerphone
- weak ring volume
- horrible battery
C902
- small screen
- lousy camera
G900
- triband!!!!
- lousy camera
- slow, SLOW processor
The last chance was the Xpedia but it is too late, and too big :)
And the fact that Se can not even able to manufacture it - well that confirms that SE has a huge quality control problem.

celladik, 12 Jun 2008Pepsi I agreed with you,
My phone now is 5700XM, i want ... moreThere's also the 5320 Musicxpress which is meant to be a good music phone. It looks like a black and flouro blue brick though =P
A bad thing with the N81 though is the music player is always on in the background there is no way to switch it off, ad the Play key is right next to the navi wheel so if you slip and press the Play button music will randomly start playing, which is really annoying.

Pepsi, 12 Jun 2008I've been playing with it for about an hour and it's alread... morePepsi I agreed with you,
My phone now is 5700XM, i want an upgrade to either a SE or Nokia for Music. I'd better go for N81. Camera for me is ok with an average. i really want for phone thats have a great music. although im satisfied with my 5700XM.

I've been playing with it for about an hour and it's already froze on me!
But now that I compare it to my N81 sound wise the N81 is much louder and clearer. The baby speaker you get with the w890 looks cute but my N81 without a speaker is still louder! Speakers pick up the radio alot better than that earphone-less thing you get with the N81. Considering they are about the same price now I don't understand why SE didn't do a better job with the sound... But what it lacks with that it definetly makes up for in other areas.
It's still a good phone though, I wouldn't buy it I'd prefer my N81... But the themes and pictures already on there are so much better than Nokias, Nokias are so boring and dull.
The camera is great though! Beats my N81 by far =( And the screen is very bright, but kinda small for me. It also has Music Mate 4 which is so much fun, and the Music and Video DJ.
However It is a really good phone! I'm impressed =)

Nokia's are CHEAPER then Sony Ericsson's
A... moreYou are absolutely correct Dani,
Nokia are cheaper than SE.
So it implies that SE should be Greater in terms of performance. The look is given to be more sexy than Nokia coz you said Nokia is cheaper than SE BUT................
Nokia as being cheaper phone can give a level or even more performance to those EXPENSIVE SE phones... A very GOOD STRATEGY of Nokia that makes them #1 Isn't It?
For me you really love SE thats ok... coz my sister have SE phone, a good one phone.
Here in our country, most of the SE users tend to be different from make Nokia Users cause they say Nokia are Cheap like this like that etc... but when comparing the price range of example that you can buy for the Php15000 or 350USD its more wisely to buy NOKIA.

nick, 12 Jun 2008yes pepsi, like me
why is my laptop so hot :S
um anyw... morenick fella!
take my example, i hooked my W890i up to the Speaker System..which meant it was long enough for someone to carry, which was not possible with iPod or 5310XM
and W890i is as slim as iPod Nano and slimmer then 5310, but W890i has better Sound Quality even with an adaptor and better Walkman earphones ..
so who won?
Sony Ericsson..

yes pepsi, like me
why is my laptop so hot :S
um anyway as a music phone this fails
look at the ipod nano, its impossibly thin, yet gives you a standard flush headphone jack.
now look at the w890, its thicker than the ipod nano, it gives you an adapter.
its inconvenient
a music phone should plug in and play. this phone has plenty of gimmicks, as do the xpressmusic phones, but the xpressmusic performs, this doesnt.
i sound like sir allan sugar now

@ nick
let me tell you one thing yeah.
i put my older W850i against my mates 5310
we both hooked it up to a Portable Speaker System which was my other mates
we hooked the 5310 with the Equaliser on full, there was too much Distortion coming out of the Speakers of the Speaker system..so much for 3.5mm and Audio chip eh! Nokia's Waste..and another thing, the Battery Drained 2 blocks down..and it slowed down alot.
then i hooked up my W850i to it.
the Sound Output was CLEAR and i set the equaliser to MegaBass and the Sound was CLEAR and BASS was clear and Great!!
No distortion at all..and My W850i was SPEEDY and STABLE and DIDNT slow down at all..
SE Walkman was faster in terms of speed then XpressMusic Player
Sound Quality Sony Ericsson wins
Sound Output Sony Ericsson killed Nokia.
SO the Conclusion is:
Sony Ericsson WALKMAN's are the BEST Music Phones!!
