it also Depends were your Numbers are saved, in the Sim Card or the Phone Memory?
Sim Card doesnt slow the phone down much.
W850i or W890i DONT slow down at all..
i think the phone just needs to get used to soo many Numbers.

I think you shouldnt worry.
the difference is that W880 has SE's Old Platform A100
were as W890i is the newer A200
but this doesnt really affect the phone.
personally i think its Natural for any phone to slow down with a full Phonebook, my Older W850i slows down.

Yes Dany,I agree that depends, but I have 50% of maximum names and 25% of max. numbers. What will happen if I have full phonebook. I can t belive that other owner are satified with this speed, or the whole populations have 100-200 names in phonebook. My previous SE was W880 and no problems with phonebook.

response of phonebook can be slow, but not so slow. does anybody have more than 800 numbers in the phonebook and is satisfied with response?(for ex- for letter s or v vaiting time is 1-2 sec.)

There is no problem! The slow response is normal (for W890!).
Remember this is a SE phone, a Sony.
Sony Style - not about performance.
Specs (the few given by Sony)looks good on paper but when you start comparing performance.....
By the way, I recommend it to all users to listen the same song on the W890 and a cheap MP3 player. (everything being equal)
You will be shocked how poorly the W890 sounds.
There is a reason why there is no sound quality (playback)assessments in the reviews.

Like many people said and as you have heard the battery is horrible for many many owners.
Just trust the people you have talked to.
SE should have recalled the defected batteries.
Naturally, SE fanatics and/or SE employees will deny any problem W890 has.
Remember, SE rules (here too ;)

Phonebook is wery slow, specialy when looking name to send sms. I have 500 names with 800 numbers. If anybody have same problem, I will appreciate it to help me. I change phone for the new one- same situation.

It practically has no competition for those looking for a compact music phone!
it has:
- amazing clean lines desing.
- solid metalic construction.
- amazing and well though proportions.
- great music features & capabilites.
- unbeatable compactness.

But at least it has autofocus and Xenon flash for much less than W890.
SE really made the step backwards with the W890.
Sexy W960i?
Well, I think it is a trouble when a phone is sexy for someone - especially when it has a brick shape.
I thought any phone with the thickness greater than 10mm is huge and a piece of ... and that is the reason we should not buy anything but SE.
Now, suddenly the 16mm thickness became acceptable.
Summary:
If the phone SE it is ok:
- no flash,
- no autofocus,
- no Wifi,
- no GPS,
- poor playback quality,
- lousy camera
- >16mm (very sexy:)
- limited internal memory
- small buttons, and screen
- weak battery
etc. All GOOD as long as it is SE.
Please look at the W960 - it is so sexy (or not :)
Se pus so much design into that I wonder it took 5 or 10 minutes to draw it.
By the way, it has a Symbian OS (Operation System) unlike the W890!
(which owned by mostly ... what company? SE? I think not!

W890i could be called the Junior W960i, its just as Sexy as the W960i
