What is crazy?
May be to think that major manufactures do not monitor websites. Especially, when there are only a few of them.
May be to think they would not spend five minutes to type up favorable messages.
May be to think that the World can be divided into ˝Nokia man˝and ˝SE man˝
By the way it is chauvinistic, but that also shows some limited brain power.
It may be also crazy to spend $500 (W890 initial price) which has
no autofocus,
no flash
lousy battery life
weak loudspeaker,
small screen,
no GPS,
no 3.5 connection,
no WIFI
etc.
Absolutely no feature that stands out from any mediocre phone, worth about 200-300 USD.
It is crazy to spend extra $200 for this phone when you can literally save somebody´s life with this $200 easily - see ..... foundations.

it doesnt have a 3.5mm jack cause only Nokia have those. those jacks are not required, cause the new advent in tech is speakers and such connected via bluetooth, like Apple's Airport system.

This phone is great for SE employees.
They can get it if they actually want any for a great discount and then (or anyway) they can come here to leave great reviews.
By the way, for a multi/global corporation with many thousands of employees and over a billion dollar PR budget - I wonder can they (SE) arrange to leave some messages here?
All these people who just got ˝my W890 and it is so so so great˝

Arjun the reason why SE do not put a zoom or autofocus on the walkman phones is because the phone is based on music thats why it is called a walkman. its like this SE have made different versions, the W range for music and the K section for camera. it doesnt really matter if you dont have a flash on walkman phones as they are made for one thing and that is music. Dear arjun here is your question answered if you have any problems with this phone i have got software for it so therefore no need to get hassled just reply back on this phone and i'll get back to you bye

Its a WALKMAN Music Phone, not a Cyber-Shot phone thats why it has No FLASH!
this is how to ZOOM with the W890i:
to go the camera settings>picture size>VGA
then it will be able to zoom, only zoom is available in VGA Mode.

Just got my W890i. I love it...except for one thing...the camera has NO ZOOM. I can deal with no flash or autofocus, but no zoom? It just doesn't make any sense.

Just received the SE W890 today, and i honestly think its GREAT.
It seems to have everything that makes it very easy and practical use. From having a Samsung before, there are certain subtle features that truly put Samsung to shame.
It is small and light but most importantly strong and durable.
The features such as the camera and music player are exceptional, for a miniscule object, the sound and picture is amazing.
I wish i had always been with Sony Ericsson.
Probably the best SE phone out of all the series, for the size and functional elegance.

The rating of this phone is falling because people started to realize that this phones offer nothing special for a high price.
The screen is small,
no touch screen,
no autofocus, n
o flash,
lousy image quality,
no GPS,
poor reliability,
below average sound quality (playback),
weak speaker phone, and probably a few more thing I can not think of!
ALL these are well documented!
By the way, SE fanatics: the C902 and G900, both are much better in every way than this overpriced junk.

Just got this phone and will be sending it back. Battery life is no where near as good as my W810i, the battery life is poor the speakers are tinny and the placement of the socket for headphones makes it akward to hold the phone to do anything else at the same time. Not very well thought through - I'll be sticking with my W810i until something better comes along.
