I don't understand people who complain about the battery life on this phone. 2 full days isn't enough? Do you not have electricity?
I am super picky and (so far) really love this phone. I waited forever to replace my old phone. I waded through 2 Nokia 6300s (both lemons), went back to my junky Samsung...and now this...ahhh, it's like upgrading from a Yugo to a BMW.

Do NOT believe the SE propaganda!
The battery sucks!
Other problems with the phone:
- no autofocus
- weak speakerphone
- poor sound quality (music)
- limited memory
- small screen for the money
- no flash (for this price!!!!)
The sales are low and the prices keep falling.
(below 400 USD now)
But, we see here so many happy owners and messages: ´get it today´
What a hype!
Now SE even tries to give tech support and free softwares here???
Just to buy this overpriced ......

Ive had this phone for over a month. The battery last for a three days and thats with a lot of usage and i can assign dofferent tones to different ppl.

For W710 user:
If there is no option for silent tone that you may create a silent recording and assign it as ringtone and it work perfectly.

I have the silver W890i and love it.
The phone sound is great (plenty loud and clear). I don't really intend to use the walkman, so I can't comment there.
The camera is good (although the lack of zoom b/f capture is weird, the post-capture zoom is crystal clear).
The battery life has been solid. I have been getting two full days...and that's with plenty of calls, text, internet, and goofing around.
It's my first SE phone. I used to use Nokia, but am happy with my switch.

This is my first sony erricson phone and i love it! , it defenitly has more features than my old nokia (6300) and camera is quite nice also the media and walkman interface is fantastic , also quite speed , batter lasted me about 2 days on first charge (even though i didnt chage it for full first charge) but will tell you what battery is like soon!

Let´s wait until it cost no more than $300!
It will be soon.
Few people buy it and many disappointed since it has no outstanding features.
By the way, the battery lifespan is a huge mistake from SE.
It worth about $250-$300 (USD) but no more!

Judging on its looks, the black version is not as lovely compared to those official photos posted on the internet. The silver version is better.

Last month the price of this phone at Carrefour -Qatar is US$490. Yesterday it dropped to US$410. Hopefully next month, it would further go down to US$350.
The price of K850 is US$495.

I am seriously concidering this phone - please can someone who has one advise me on it's battery life and sound. Gets confusing with all opinions and some people don't seem to be users of this model.Thanks in advance.

Hi, i would like to know if it is possible to assign different message tones for your contact, for example, have one for a friend, and no tone (silent) for another...

This handset pushes my buttons and is sleek too, the W880i was a fine piece of design but it was clearly not up to the punishment I delivered it one Friday morning.
Lets hope SE have improved upon this as I require a robust yet small handset that must reach awkward places that the sun cannot nor does shine upon.

It is a walkman phone, so dont expect much camera goodies from it. Then again only few top end phones have Wi-Fi, so dont ask for Wi-Fi in this. 3.5mm audio jack isnt a big neccesity, SE is providing aan adapter and that is fine.

for zooom
camera settings>picture size>VGA
and then zooom will activated.
zoom is only available in VGA Mode!
