it cost me $493 with 5 years warranty and price drop gurantee!!!
its sound is fine but its bit too thin. i mean that the vocals of songs are not loud but the music is. w800, w810 and w850 had better sound than this. but w890i is worth buying.

Update: Listening to radio via BT. Just got my phone, it's great. However I've tried listening to the radio via BT (with the headset attached to it as an antenna) and you can only direct the sound to the speakers or the wired headset. It does not give you the option to direct the sound to the BT. (Bummer)

this phone is just great: design and proportions! great. Sound quality is also very good I heard sounds listening to music I never head listening same music on PC or Mp3 Player :D. Only thing I was a lil bit disapointed is that loudspeakers arent too loud. I was expecting a litle bit louder since GSMArena measured 78.2 dB. And I think that mine is quiter maybe because of a volume unlock? Does anyone know why mine isnt as loud? I would like to discuss this with someone who has time?

I finally got the phone. What an amazing piece! Solid build and so classy in the stainless finish. I had the W880i before so it's a little tricky getting used to the new key layout, but the bigger keypad does help even though the buttons are close together. Just as awesome phone! It fits into just about any pocket or you and stuff it in your bra, LOL

              Hi guys

I checked and there is no BT option for the FM radio. :-( Haven't tried with a BT headset yet.

The phone is totally loaded with alarm signals, some are beep sounds and som are musical.

I'm the kind of guy that rips packages right away :-) so no unboxing pics. I would mention that I got 8 Gb memory in the box!!! But that's probably only for 3. I got minein Sweden.

I'm very much in love with this phone! :-) The sound is very good for example

                  Hi ebi
what alarm signals does it have preloaded? does it have a "normal" alarm ringtone? (as in not a musical one, just a standard beeping alert)

                    Jocke,

                    thanks for being so responsive.
it will be great if you can get a BT headset and let us know the W890 BT/A2DP expirince.

however you do not need the BT in order to answer the radio over BT question...

when you have the wired headphones plugged, all you need to do is look if you have an option to activate the radio via BT - you do not need the BT headphones as you do not have to take the action!
just let us know if the menu option is available.

                    10x

the new version is actually w870i. it will be available in mystic black, fire orange, pearl copper and metallic white. it has a 5mp cam with xenon and AF, stereo speakers, 3.5mm jack, mini usb, 512 internal memory and much more.

                        Hi Zorro

Aah, I get it. Never thought of that, very good. :-)

Unfortunately I currently don't have a BT stereo headset otherwise I would trry what you suggest. I will borrow from a friend of mine and then try.

Someone asked about the alarm. You can set 5 different alarms and choose whatever alarm signal you want. Actually you can even set a readio station as alarm signal...

Hey what does the alarm clock sound like on this phone? Does it have a "normal' alarm clock ringtone? The last SE phone I had only had musical alarm tones.

                            Jocke,

as the two posts after yours stated...
radio over BT may still be great even if you have to plug the wired headset...

personally i listen to music when training.
i hate wires, they disturb me a lot.
i listed to music only via BT in the last two years and the experience is great.

anyway i was very happy to have the option to listen to the radio over BT as well (as i do form my Laptop at work). hoever for some reason on most phones readio can not be transmitted via BT.
the manufecturers assume that if you have to plug the wired headphones (for antenna) you will use them to listen as well.
if i have this feature availabe i will plug the headphones to the phone that is in my pocket and listen to the music via bluetooth.

anyway the w980 will probably have the feature i am waiting for much more practical and elegant as it will also have an internal radio antenna. i am not sure how good the reception will be though...

i prefer the w890 over the w980 due to the amazing metalic bar construction though and will not wait for the w980.

do you get the pictures now?
can you please test if this option is available on your phone?

all you got to do is plug the wire headphones, turn on the radio and try to look for an option to play via BT (like the one you have in the media player).

                            10x in advance.

Yes! Please answer that. With the wired headset on, can you still transfer audio to your BT phone like in the W960i?

@Jocke: maybe he wants to listen to radio via Bluetooth while keeping the phone on the desk or in another place where the wired headphones would not reach...

                                  Hi Zorro

Sorry, I don't know that. :-( But if you anyway have the wired headset plugged in why do you want to use bluetooth headset?

BTW, check this site: www.jointhesong.com :-)

                                    Jocke,

thanks for the comment regarding radio and BT.
note that though the headset is required when playing radio - this still does not mean you can not play radio via BT.

the wired headset is used as antenna.
this is why radio will not play without it.

                                    the question is:
when the wired headset is pluged - can you listen to radio via BT? (same as you can play the music player via BT)?

I have the W890 and it does not play radio without headset.

Don't let that stop you, it's a competely amazingphone!!!! I got 8 Gb from 3 when I bought it in Sweden!!!

Sound is off the hook, UI is smooth. It's thin and classy. My best phone ever.
