what is your source for the fact the w980 can play radio via BT?
i know it has an internal antenna, which will make this feature much more valuable - but how can you tell the radio will be available via BT and not only when attaching wire headphones?

well, its a small n tiny phone, good for slick n chic users. its a walkman phone to begin with, so dont need to get too upset about it not having fantastic camera features.
the metallic exterior is cool... but i'd agree that the price is quite a deterrent, for those of us interested.

Ask SE - it is their design. They should provide tech data and unit description.
I think it would be totally unacceptable if the radio could not be listened via BT.
Do you really assume this stupidity from SE?

you people need some common sense
there is no such thing as "a new version will be launched in orange and white colour. it will have a 5 mp cam, gps and xenon flash. but it will be 13 mm thick."
if your going to lie, make it thinner, c902 is less than that

Why do we complain about the price?
Because it is to high!!!!!!!
You may get it free since you have a contract but how much your contract cost?
Could you support a couple of 3rd world kids - after all only 20 years ago we were perfectly happy without cell phones.
I think it is better to keep your cost down and use your money where it can do some good.
500USD was ridiculously high and greedy price for this basic phone - no GPS, no flash, small screen, etc.

I have this phone now and its design is great, very slim. However I find the loudspeakers not so loud. I know the test here rated em 78.2 dB, however it seems that both my N-Gage and my Nokia 6280 are louder...? Is this maybe because of some volume limit there is in germany?

why do so many people complain about the price? i know most users here are in america, but in the UK most people get contracts, where this phone is absolutely free. i havent paid for a phone for years

When you're in the camera you can go through the menu, and shutter sound is a setting. There are 4 different sounds, and Off.
I've just tried with normal profile and shutter sound to off and it works.

jacky only way to disable the shutter sound is to set your profile to scilent

The whole phone is metal, except for the part at the bottom where the antenna is.
