mpeg4 and QVGA are 2 different things.
mpeg4 is the video format (same as the music formats .mp3, .wav etc).
the QVGA in video recordings is its RESOLUTION, not the format. the higher the resolution, the clearer the video recordings will be. and the higher the frame-per-second value (fps), the smoother the videos will be.

and w900i's video recordings are BETTER than w800i/k750i, and not similar.
besides, w900i can support full 3D arcade games bcos of its integrated Nvidia 3D accelerator chip. the fon also supports horizontal playing mode + horizontal full screen video-playing mode. very cool!

d600's video recordings is slightly better than w900i's, bcos of its higher resolution. d600 is recorded in CIF resolution (352x288) while w900i is recorded in QVGA resolution (320x240).

w900i's video recordings is not similar to w800i's. w800i's is recorded in QCIF resolution, which is worse than the QVGA (320x240) resolution in w900i. and wat's more, w900i records in 30fps while w800i records in only 15fps. w900i's video recordings are smoother and better also bcos of its integrated nvidia 3D accelerator chip.

i have noticed that video files are displayed in small thumbnails for easy selection. Video files are usually displayed as a list without the thumbnails in other SE phones, if im not mistaken.

i live in Bahrain, and they started to sell the W900 yesterday. the main SE store (Fakhro electronics) is selling it for 584 U.S. dollars.
thats much cheaper than i had expected. anyways i got a black one yesterday. very nice, kinda bulky though, but still amazing!

thank goodsness we have such good administrators of this site. any way do not know if people in south africa are going to get our handson it. local se webpage still has coming soon label, and summer catalogue has no sign of the phone

Take it easy Ken, no need to be so mad when people with no background for phone reviews come and say that the n91 or 92 are better than w900i.
Anyways i had a problem with my K750, the top three menu buttons started to pump out, which made me doubt the build quality of the phone, i placed them back and i sold it yesterday for 250$.
Now im using my loyal friend Z800i, it always saved my ass in dark times.
Now im waiting for the w900i to hit Danmark's market, and i will get it in black version.

it can be changed from 3g to 2g, i've just done it, and the battery life is SO much better, it's unbelievable
here you go...
settings...scroll accross to connectivity....down to mobile networks...click and down to GSM/3Gnetworks...Click and select GSM only

Just like to know how can this phone be changed to 2G from 3G? Also I can't seem to find the option for changing the vidoe settings.

i have a s700i and have many complaints. but i still think its the best phone i fr had, but the secret to get a good phone is when u can personalise it. like Linux.
also would like to have music playing when u take a picture or record a video. or edit a video with music so u can make like ur own videoclips of u playing football or anything.
plz have bluetooth on the background as with the 700i u cant do sjit while using bluetooth

Sure this phone is BEAUTIFUL....but don't u think it's a bit over priced??....dont' get me wrong i love this fone and wanted it sooo bad but once i got a glimpse of the price...i was like i can buy a laptop with that money....

red and to ALL- try switching the phone to 2G mode and the battery life should extend dramatically. also if you are using your walkman feature you can also try offline mode for 37 hours of music.

kwan- did you go through the options menu when you activate the camera, because i think that you can go through that menu and adust your video settings. otherwise you may have to go to the options through the phones actual menu.
