kwan- did you go through the options menu when you activate the camera, because i think that you can go through that menu and adust your video settings. otherwise you may have to go to the options through the phones actual menu.

kwan- the battery life can be adusted according to what network you are using. if you are using 2G upon the phone then the battery life will be as it is on the phone reviews. if you are using 3G then the battery life wilkl dramatically decrease.

guest- just to emphasize that it is imperative that you recognize the there is a big difference btween mpeg4 and qvga.

you see the mpeg4 format is a video format. it has the ability to have more pixels than QVGA format. if you had your facts right then you would realise that the w900 along with the D600 have tft-QVGA screens. this been they have high quality 320*240 pixel screens. when the w900 records a video it is 320*240 pixels. when the D6000 records it has more pixels(i do not know exactly how much).

on the phone itself you will find that the w900 video will look better as the pixels are not squished(video pix.=screen pix.). but when you put it on a bigger screen the d600 will come on top.

to see this actual effect you should look at the comparison between the w800/k750 and the n90. go to

      http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n90_vs_sonyericsson_w800-review-46.php

at the end of the page there are two links. the first of the w800(same as in w900)
the second of the n90(same as d600)

SE Suppoter(my ass)- n92 a better phone? you must be kidding me. the n92 justlike the n81 is ust another one of mnkia's attempts to hom,e in on the market gaps. it is ust like buying a porsche. if you looke at the boxter and the 9111 turbo, just look at their stats. in between there is a gap in ther market. in order to capitatlise in making their buyers get one, they made a car that fits perfectly in between them. the cayman. everything of that car is halfway between the boxter and the 911turbo. topspeed, power, torque, price, weight.

nokia does not incoporate the exact same method but through evolution it seems to occur. n91 is slightly better thatn the n90, and the n92 is slightly better than the n91. thus making the n91 similar to porsche's cayman.

so SE suppoter, it is not possible that the n92 is a better phone than the w900. in fact the only way in which could be a better phone is in the fact that it has a better camera and it is a samrtphone(thus OS system)

nuVf(no name)- me and invincible spent a whole day arguing about that topic. everybody who read those posts will know that the w900 is a way better phone than the n91. to emphasis how much we spent talking about that topic, i can tell you that my bookmark for this page is a comparison betweeen those 2 phones.

the first and most important fact was that the battery life of n91 is absolutely apawling.(talktime)

the n91 is a comparible phone but lacke many functions. it is also very expensive and will still comout next year

Show- kwan is right. over time you will find that the outer parts will wear down. you will also find that the spring loading system will become weaker overtime. but if you want to prolong the life of your phones swinging mechanism, then SE recommended that you close it in the clockwise direction. you may open it in any direction though.

this is because the spring mechanism gets it best performance/ hold more energy in this direcction. proper use ensures that it will last as long as it can

MC-do not worry about there not being UMTS in america. as time goes on you will find that the support and speed of EDGE will eventually catch up with that of UMTS. since EDGE is simply 2G technology that has been updated, and will constantly be upgraded; it will become a secondary sturdy system equal to that of UMTS

I found the battery was also rubbish, The battery was lasting about 3 quaters of a day. In the end I got vodafone to replace it yesterday. I hope it's better this time or I will be returning it under the 14 day return option. I also found the tv won't would through the tv option, I have to go through the vodafone live menu. Really annoying. Onmce i have sorted out the battery I might ring vodafone and ask them about it.

To Show > the swinging motion seems quite sturdy but the two bits on the end of the phone that make the phone click are bound to wear down. Thats why they're replacable.

Anyone know why the battery is so crap? I'm having to charge the battery everyday! I've only had it for 4 days! Anyonw having the same problem? Also can anywone get onto the tv option? I keep getting error 404.

                    Pz.

obviously.. N92 is the best among those 3.. cuz it has 3mp cam .. though it says 2mp in this web.. and it has almost everything.. internal memory not bad too though not as much as w900

Symbian is an operating system which some of the smartphones use. W900 is not a smartphone, and you must stick to what you get. On smartphone like on your computer you can chose the software you use (like instead using windows media player you use winamp on your computer on smartphone you can install another and better than preinstalled app to play your mp3). I wouldn't buy W900. I would buy nokia N91 instead.

Would you get this phone if you had the money? if not than why? I'm really wondering what to get since I have neither a mp3 player or a digital camera. This phone looks really promising and the size is not really that much of an issue for me. $700 is a steep investment and I'm wondering if you guys wouldn't get this phone than which phone would you get...and why? I'm trying to avoid bar phones because the form just doesn't appeal to me.

This phone has UMTS! It is not meant for the North American market. UMTS is way faster then EDGE;Only if we had UMTS, you wouldnt be talking about EDGE.

                                    Xennox- sorry for the delay. i am also from SA(cape town). i do not understand also why vodacom is doing this. we were meant to be one of the first countries to receive it but there have been complications or delays. as soon as it hits the shelves im going to get it on upgrade. anyway will also call voda+SE to find out what is going on. might also go to vodaworld to see whatzup. :}

TO ALL- the size of the phone is a result of the desingers wanting for us to enoy the large screen size, with user-friendly/easy to use controls. size is a result of necessity. anyway like those before me said, it is not that big, in your pocket in your hand, or whereever you have it.

This phone is sexy (even thhough) I don't actually own 1, one of my friends do, and every time I see him I always use his phone as if it was mine, either way I will hopefully be getting one soon, because the screen is jus enourmous and the features are amazingly entertaining, only a fool would buy a memory card for this internal 470mb phone!
