i honestly can't wait till this phone is released especially since im getting it free on a upgrade i already got the w550i and i love it and seeing as though this is like 10 times better i'm crapping my pants just thinking about it. Get this phone if you know whats good for you.

This phone is coming out on the 8th december in the UK on vodafone,but will not be with other phone companys in the UK till march

This phone should be avaliable internationally by Xams.. i guess.. the price should be around 700 - 900.. :]

iFrx(no name)-like GuGuBirD said when you hold the phone it wont be the same. 11 cm may seem large but if you look at the design of the phone the only reason that it is so large, is because SE wanted to give us a large screen as well as comfortable?easy-to-use buttons. so the size is there fo a reason. anyway once you've got it you will understand.
GuGuBirD - do not waste $900 on the phone now. even if you did budget for $1200 it is not necessary. if you wait for the service providers and retailers to have it then the price will be around $650-$700. you could then use the extra $500 to buy yoursel more memory or other christmas gifts
P@1G - this phone uses some experimental hardware that they have not fully developed so those are still large and take up some space. but other than that the phone is simply that big and heavy so that it functions well,gives you a large screen, and so you can drop it a few times and it will still survive(not that you should do that)
z- the will be no wifi on this phone. so to answer your question.NO!

No, not amaze with this UMTS phone because too heavy like nokia phones, just like having a revolver gun on my pocket.I will consider this phone if its weight will fall below 100 grams just like the UMTS phones of other manufacturer.
Why SE? Do not have the technology to put all this great features to a small ang light housing? I guess SE is the twin sister of NOKIA.

You will never regret with holding this W900i..u need no to think twice and just go for it when this phone release in market!! I think this price is reasonable. If this w900i sell for $900 sing dollar is quite a cheap coz i budget $1200 when i 1st see this phone and it is a couple weeks ago.my first sigh!

to all- price is a result of christmas coming soon as well as the fact that not even the retailers and service providers have it for sale. the official price should be at a maximum of $700. the price hike is as a result of low availabilty and christmas. asa soon as the retailers and SP have it then the price will drop. after new year it will again drop to a steady and very affordable price.
dont be fooled by those tring to make a quick buck. buy it once it is internationally available to all, when the price is right

don't always believe others who says that W900i supports .wma & .wmv, i think they're just saying it juz to big up their beloved brand eventhough its not true that it can play .wma & .wmv files! as what i said before, you can check out the white paper of W900i and see who's telling the truth about .wma & .wmv compatibility.

-I don't care whether it has 30/fps video mode! (this mode is included in all new digital cameras free of charge!)
-I don't care whether it has B.S. video calling (video calling quality on today's UMTS is horrible)
-I don't care if it has 2mp camera
(2mp-what?!)
without even 2x optical zoom (what?!)
Be mature and don't waste your money!
For $900 you can buy:
1) Nokia 6170
2)Panasonic's fx9 very slim pocket digital camera, with 6mp resolution and mega optical image stabilization!
3)256 md SD memory card
4)High quality Samsung's 1GB music & Movie Player (MP3 player)

well after reading most of what's going on here ...
my phone will be SE W900 for sure :)) i am not going for nokia crap anymore!! and for the price thing ...
i've payed lots for nokia phones and its juss not woth it . so why not pay it this time for something different that even better ?

TheOneDazz-viperkid got some of his info(on Wlan) from my links. he uses searches to find out his info like we all do.
mXtr(no name)+all- it does not have a 2,5mm jack. it only has a 3,5mm jack.it also does support tv out through its fast port and data accesories

that depends on you.
W900 has 76,800 dots of image size with 30 fps it means that W900's video size is smaller and but will look smoother when viewed on a TV/PC screen than N90's captured/playback video. however, N90 has 101,376 dots of image size with 15 fps it means N90's video size is bigger but will look less smoother due to its fewer fps than W900. one aspect is better than the other, so i guess it's hard to know which one has better video.. as what i said it depends on you, if you like bigger videos go for Nokia, if u want smoother looking videos go for Sony Ericsson. but compare w900 with N80, that's a different story cuz N80's fps is still tentative to date.
