just to clarify @ Jumpie.
not all models can turn shutter sounds off. so depending on where you are, the "silence" key will not work and the shutter sound will still go off. :)

no.. ths SE w900i runs off a customized Java enviroment built by SE. as of yet, i know no SE mobiles to be run off symbian software
also about the shaky photos?.. this is untrue.. thepicture will only comeout shakey if u shake while taking the photo. in video mode, after recording the viedo it will pause and make it look blury, this is because its stoped recording in its max resolution, and is displaying it in a "squeezed down" version, not full screen.

data transfers can happen alot with SE's thru the data cable. make sure you PCsuite is up to date, the cable is looked after and your USB port is running fine.

this model uses Memory stic Pro DUO. its a smaller version of Sony memory stick Pro's.
its able to hold 62mb, 128mb, 512mb 1bg and 2gb of data.
also about themes.. try using google :)

ok.. sounds to me like you downloaded a corupt file and it has wrecked you opoerating system files. are you sure it was an OFFICIAL SE game? it may of been a hacked or fake site. if not, back up all you phone numbers and pics/movies and you may need to master reset you w900.
if this fails, you will need to take it toy your nearest SE service point to be tested and fixed.

this "white screen of death" is a small bug in your firmware. to stop this from happening do the following
re-set you phone every few days (turn it off and back on again after afew min)
DO NOT do alot of things at once, such as have the MP3 running, while creating a MMS with pictures, taking photos ETC as this cause a crash.
update your firware when the updates are available from www.sonyericsson.com
and simply, dont download unknow content to the phone.

I bought mine three weeks ago, i though it was perfect. i had one of the most impressive phone. Guess what? Two days ago i brought it to the service center because of this so-called White Screen of Death -WSOD. Anyway, i was upset. So, just im warning you. It might happen to you and i dunno how to prevent it from happening again.

I have this phone , yes , it is thick when u first look at it , but after u start using it, it will make u forget about it's thickness.
The phones that I have tested and reviewed (these are NOT prototypes) : Nokia N70 , Nokia 7610 , Nokia N90 , Nokia 6680 , SE W550i , SE W800i , SE W900i etc etc

There are MANY websites that have themes for the W900i , just go to http://www.yahoo.com or http://www.google.com and search for W900i themes .
Secondly ,he phone uses Sony's Memory Stick Duo / PRO Duo .

I just got my W900i 5 days ago, I was excited but right after I download a game from the Sony Ericsson official web site, 2nd time I play, it turn into a white screen and last over 1/2 hour, so I took out the battery and re-install it and now is dead. not working at all.
is there anyone out there know what I can do to make it a WORKING phone again? please help!!

Hi all,
wich is THE BEST PHONE: k800, w810 or w900?
I'm consider no camera protector in w900, no huge memory in k800 but 3.2 MP, no built-in radio in w900.Does any of this view/red office files (doc, xls, pps, txt).Please help me on this 'coz I need to decide wich to buy... or wait few weeks for shipping.Thks

got it a few weeks ago it's cool. 470MB of internal memory. The online connection 378kbp it is fast, I already try it for modem

ive heard that SE cameras develop shaky photos so you have to hold the cammera still while taking photos. is this true with the W900? how good is the video call camera?

i dont know much about Sony Ericssons. i dont think that W900 supports symbian software, am i right?? i was wondering what is the size of the memory card that u get with the phone?
