Wave, 23 Jul 2008W910i is far far far better than w580 the w580 doesnt even ... morei think w580i has the shake control. but shake controls on w910i or any walkman phone are kinda crappy. still need to hold the walkman key.

hey guys, unlike the other three walkman mobile phones of sony ericsson i used,this is the best phones having impressive outlook and screen visualisation with its best quality sound. "LIKE NO OTHER". I m feeling lucky having this phone for myself.

Would anybody be able to let me know if you can set up a lock on the phone to stop people accessing the menu or viewing your text msgs? ie. phone will ask for a security code when you access these?

I've been a mobile phone user since it first came out in the 80s. My first model was from Motorola which was as big as a water bottle & the sound simply blasted from the earpiece. Throughout the years, the phones got smaller & I adapted to the progressively softer earpiece volume. I have got into the habit of answering the phone right away whenever it rings & press the buttons immediately when the need to phone arises.
My problem arises when I received the SEW910i a month ago. I can ascertain all of you that most of the strengths of this pnone stated here about this phone are true & I should love this phone to bits. But for me, this phone is only heavenly & flawless when used indoors. Once out on busy streets , I couldn't make out what the caller is saying because of the very low ear-piece volume. The caller couldn't hear me either because the microphone picks up all the background noise. I am now training myself to attach the headphone whenever the phone rings or whenever I want to make a call, but I always forget because old habits die hard for a middle-aged individual.
I am now in a dilemma because this is one of the best, if not the best, phones I have during these 2 decades. However, what's the use of a mobile phone if fails in its primary function of enabling voice communication? Maybe retiring individuals like myself have never been expected to be SE's customers.

wh... moreWether HSDPA is avaible or not that depends on your operatot. Unlike wi-fi which you can use it freely as long as 'hotspots' are there (e.g: Cafe, Bar, etc).
If you want to try HSDPA:
Setting -> Connectivity -> Mobile Network -> HSDPA
The "H" sign will show up if you get HSDPA signal
