i solved the restart or cannot start problem by scratching the battery contact to ensure good contact.
For 6mth, is working fine without any incident.

i think the reason why this phone keep restart because we use the flash menu themes.....

That's a good phone, but it have a lot of software bugs..somethimes it's turning off by himself, othertimes don't respond at all..

I had problems with my first unit (Vodafone branding) that I bought when prices started dropping seriously, and I had to replace it due to constant reboots. Even software upgrade didn't fix it.
In Portugal we have a "reflection period" that covers D.O.A. and other reasons that you don't have to explain. I exchanged mine and got a brand new one immediately. Added a 4GB memory card and filled it with a big part of my CD collection.
Worked flawless for more than one year until it was stolen at a local pub. :-(
Even if the slide seems wobbly when open it's sturdy enough for my not so kind phone handling.
The gimmicks like shake control and the 2 game/photo keys could be replaced with a flash on the camera.
This would make a very nice phone, with powerful sound even with the supplied earphones, good battery life and a confortable keyboard.

i dont recomend this phone it isnt good at all always freezes do not buy you will regret i promis you. but its not that bad.....

I also have faced the problem with restarting by itself many times..But, it is very good in other aspects, mainly with its audio feature. When hear the music using its earphones, it totally experiences a DTS music feel. That is ultimate in this phone..Thanks that someone suggested to download some software to overcome the restarting problem..Anyway, good mobile phone from Sony Ericsson...:)

The handset is ultimate, i am using it for last 2 years... i also face the restart problem.. but its a must have phone for music lovers

but i can say this is a sturdy phone. been using using this for 2years. but next time i'll buy a phone i wont go for sliding.. ribbon sucks!

To everyone who has restart problems:
Download Sony Erricson Update Manager and update the phones firmware with it. It stopped my restarting problems.

Mine W910 is white in colour! It works very well! Except for the sliding part! It become loose! Can anyone suggest me a way to make it tighter?

Agree with u people. this phone always restart by itself. When your listening to songs or texting, and suddenly, *BOOM*, your whole phone restarts. I think it maybe the signal problem or whatever it is. asked my friend, and it happen the same thing to him too. *sigh* -_-

this phone is a well designed phone with a perfect inside sound
but after awhile it begins to restart that you must get used to it or THROUGH IT AWAY
