What is it with people and cameras?! We've got credit-card sized cameras nowadays that can take pictures a lot better than any jack-of-all-trades phone can!

Do any of you actually use the camera on your phone, I mean really? There ok for messing around with but pretty useless as cameras so stop bitching that this phone doesn't have one.
SE are at the moment head and shoulders above other manufacturers. After switching back from my "revolutionary" t68i to a Nokia I never thought I would say that but after living with a k750i and currently a w800i, I am completely converted. Moto's are popular but trash, I know five people with Razrs and everyone has been sent back, my partners has been replaced twice!
Other manufacturers are still trying to cram gimmicks into their flimsy style over substance laden peices of junk while SE are producing beautiful, usable and sturdy phones. I never needed a camera on my phone, as a photographer I appreciate quality and for the time being no cameraphone can replace even a terrible compact camera, Ipod watch out though, media player/phone IS a perfect combination and every kiddy thinking their cool with their razr and ipod will soon be wanting one of the SE walkman range.
There going to take over and they deserve too.

This phone is really waist of money. I mean, if you want a pda, buy yourself a real pda...and then no cam, i believe it can usefull to have a cam...
4GB is great,but...
get real sonyericsson...

first kirk i think you need to learn the fundementals of the english language and string a competant sentance together, this phone will be the preverbial bo**ocks as they say, stupidly high spec, and most likely theyve done it without a camera for a reason, for a start theyre is 4 other walkman branded phones to choose from in the range all with cameras, and i think alo of business users are going to use this phone, and not alot of businesses like theyre employees to have cameras on them... if you want a camera walkman phone go for the w800i, if you want a loud walkman phone go for the w550i, if you want a high spec one with a camera go for the w900i...

With regards to being in the 20th century, there are pocket sized cameras available with MUCH higher pixels than on the latest phones, a phone is excatly that, to make and recieve calls.

This phone seems to be perfect! 4 gb, sony mp3 player, long battery life, pda features...
If someones wants to have a phone with camera, this phone is not an option. However, I do not care about camera; I prefer to pay and buy a fantastic 5 m.pixel compact camera like casio elixim and digital ixus rather than getting a poor 2 m pixel camera with restricted fucntions.

this is not a phone !!! It' PDA ! 4Gb memory, no camera and such a design... It's PDA. If u want a phone try something else.

Like I said in the M600 post. Sony Ericsson I think, are doing a "BlackBerry" with added Walkman.

You guys have to remember this phone is marketed as a Walkman with a phone attathed so having no camera is not something big to query.

why would u make a cell phone with no camera??? i mean phone is nice and got 4GB but what is the point of making a cell phone these days without a good digital camera to come with it. too me this phone is a waste of time. i would rather get the W900 which would be better. with the 2MP camera and 430MB built in and add 2GB with memory stick.

i love this phone .one reason of not giving camera might be that it will increase the price .i hope so it is a mobile for the middle class.touchscreen make it look like pda a great thing i say.Hey Do Anyone know the price ,i have to buy mobile as soon as possible but i can wait for this if it under my budget,so pleeeeeeeese anybody tell the price.

Ooo...no..no! A mobile phone without a digital camera is like a human wihtout eyes! You never know how usefull it can be...

Even though it doesn't have a camera, and it has been announced after Nokia's 4GB phone, the N91, I belive this phone will be out before it and will sell simply because people have got tired of waiting for the N91 and will trust that this phone will have an excellent music player as it is walkman branded.

i have hardly ever used my camera on my phones.this looks like a very good phone especially for music lovers.a client of mine is a senior phone repairer and his advice was that most phones that have cameras are returned with a problem and affect overall standard and functioning of the phone.he feels that the best phones are those without cameras .For my taste this phone looks very good.
