Hi All, have picked up the phone for 10.5k (INR) in grey. The phone is fast, great processor speed. And very easy to use.
For those comparing the sound with W810i, suggest that get a software upgrade available free on Sonyericsson.com/support.

W950i.. 4GB of storage and only Rs9500.. so this is on the grey market is it? The official price from authorized sony dealers is still Rs 28,000! Thats a huge price difference! I really want to buy this phone coz camera phones not allowed in my office. But iam worried about the 4Gb memory of the grey market phone.. Any long time users have any issues with w950i bought from the grey market??

hi evrybody
just got dis phone 3 days back n i m really up2date wid dis phone....
got it for Rs12,500 from hotspot
its good but bluetooth incoming files come in beamd msg n not directly in storage...
its not fast not very slow....
keypad keys r embedded closely so u may mistype more than once in 10 times
storage is as always good
not as loud as other walkman phones (speakermode)
but still fine

Hey all, when I first purchase this phone, I was kinda dissapointed. Because for such features the phone kinda hang and low sound quality. But when I recently update the phone, the performance of phone is good and the sound is much more better.

how do i edit the contact via computer.
MyPhoneExplorer had this facility for K750..but it does not recognize W950..is there any software to add/edit contact, back up the sms on computer.

How do you get into contacts while you on a call. I think we dont have this feature?

I think all the features in this phone are perfect for its price (200 euros).
-touch screen;walkman,jog dial,.
and a good thing is its a walkman phone and symbian....0ne thing i dint understand is why is it purple???? why din't they do it in black?

flash memory will not become corrupt generally. this only really happens with extended writing to it, the only real senario i could think of this having any effect would be using it as a linux swap partition as it is CONSTANTLY written to. however just uploading files is no big deal and u can continue to do that till ur hearts content

wrong codecs man, try 3gp format with m4a codec and aac for the video. or try divx+divx player

get it from ebay dude, i ordered mine for 315 with screen protectors and case and delivery to australia which is pretty cheap. use xe.com for currency conversion its a good price
