yeah u can get office apps for it, i think quickoffice it was called. however they are third party apps that ur meant to pay for. try a torrent:p

I got this phone in INR 9500(rupees) from mumbai grey market(box piece)..the phone is awesome. People who complain about slow and sluggish behaviour must make it a practice to exit the applications rather than just using back arrow to get out of this. You can do this via task manager. Sound quality(specially volume level) can be enhanced if you use good quality BOSE/SONY/PHILIPS headphones. Lack of camera is a specific design consideration , which sony may have thought, is because of many companies like BPOs/strategic companies dont allow camera phones in their premises. Moreover most cameras on the cell phones are crappy and of little use(leaving aside K850i and nokia N95)and the price of this phone has become so low taht you can compensate for lack of camera by purchasing any digicam by spending extra money, you have saved because of price fall. Sony rocks n rules.

the options of the w950 are incredible! this mobile is so unique that even without a camera it the best. the quality of the sound is like nothing i've ever heard it has an incredible clean sound the best on all of all the mobile phone intill now, even when the volume and equlzrs are to the maximum. it's the first walkman phone to have a Stereo Bluetooth Headset HBH-DS970.
with it's giant touchscreen you can watch any thing in with high quality.
it can also read diffrent types of files such as java symbian OS and UIQ 3.0 mp3,acc,3gp...
And to rap it all up 4GB of internal memory.

hello everybody, i am planning to buy this phone. i found that this phone is cool. why do you need to buy an ipod if w950i has all features that the ipod have. i just want to ask how much is this in philippine? the brand new one. help me. thanks in advance!

I found a good offer of 200 euros for a new unblocked w950 and, friends, I chose it before the w910(500 euros)

Hi.I read the opinions and I think you must know :
1- some of OSs,doesn't work correctly with smartphones like W950i.for example they don't recognize USB cable and mobile's mass storage in fast mode!but this isn't a lake of mobile and if it be used with another pc,works without any problem!
2- here,there are many ways to write anything,and using keypad is the last & the worst!!!why you want use it when you can write more fast & easy with the stylus or your handwriting?!or you can choose any option with your hand?!this is very nice!
3- if you like to take photos,you must buy a digital camera!don't forget that the camera mobiles usually haven't good camera!also,this mobile without camera,is slim and fashionable!(compare it with fat & heavy smartphones like nokia's or P990!!!it's really unique)
4- W950i is the best smartphone and great mobilephone!the others are not comparable with it ...

thats not true. the storage memory will not be constantly accessed only way it will slow the phone down is if your in the actual folder then i guess the phone could choke with too many file names to read or previews to generate depending on what file type we are talking about here. it will affect browsing folders etc but not the actual phones speed in other applications eg messaging.

SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS FOR THE SLOWNESSNESS:
when u put folders and music files disarranged, the fon seems to work so slow, especially if the items in the folders have a big memory.luck of proper arrangement and storage also reduces its efficiency.when the memory is also full it tends to take long to process and present data but how do fill 4gb of memory and with what?ITS ONE OF THE BEST OF S.E.WAIT FOR W960i.ANY MORE ISSUES

same here yasir, im leaning more towards the m600i now instead u can cross flash firmwares anyway so its mainly the physical aspects u need to look at. m600i is 50bux aud cheaper aswell w/o 4gig however:(

i heared about its keypad that it does really not work properly if u press 1 or 2 it press 3 or 5 at the same time is it true em going to buy this fone bt em confused after hearing about its keypad

hey guys ive been trying to update my phone but everytime i connect it n try to update it says 'one of the usb attached is not recognixed'...anyone can help me out?? im using vista n the phone connects well with the pc suite...
i would also like to know whether there are any benefits of updating??

hi, i would like 2 know that the review says that this phone has mp3,aac etc. support but no walkman player. then why is it a w series? or no mention of walkman(version 1,2,3 or touch) player in the review.
