Hey john. Your being too much subjective. Judging things are always subjective. We have different needs and tastes. For me, I got this phone because of my need. Music, 3rd party softwares (esp dictionary) and durability. And i'm staying away from nokia. I have already seen some w850s in stores with the direction pad cracked (2nd hand units)considering that it is newly released. I think they were not satisfied with the unit. You see, we have our own tastes. Let's choose well and enjoy our handsets.^_^ And by the way, I will buy a 4gig memcard only for a high end mobiles or cameras, especially its a memory stick. And i dont think a mid end unit owner will invest for a 4 gig card when u already have enough in the box.

hello people , finally i realize that theres none that Check & got this phone , coz : none can compare the Power of speaker & sound quality with w900/w500/w850

Working in a phone shop, I've found that the overall best phone from SE is the W850 by a country mile. yes there's a 4GB memory on the W950, but some things to point out that make this phone an utter disappointment when I thought it was going to be the shizzle. 1. The keys are tiny, uncomfortable to use and absolutely pants in comparison to the W850, however you do have the benefit of the stylus so unless you are a spaz like me and can't write properly with them, ur ok. Secondly, if you are left handed, you are at a serious disadvantage when you use this phone because the jog wheel is on the left, meaning its more fiddly to use. Third, no camera, and no expandable memory, not that you'll ever need 4gb but you can by 4gb mem sticks for the W850, so I ask, what really makes this phone better? Its bigger, not as nice looking, slower to powerup and use, and generally cack in my opinion. Not the worst phone in the world but given the choice I'd take W850, K800, N73 or N80 any day of the week

i really like this phone..............but why is it that there's no camera?!?!?! hate it.. i rily like the color of it and the fact that it's a touch screen phone but it has no camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!grrrrrrrrrrrr

I just hope that the next W series will have an SSD drive built in, either 16 or 32 gb. - this assumes that price for SSD will drop A LOT.
Size and weight will considerably increase, but I can live with that!

Hi to all.
This is the best in music in mobile phones. It just rocks. Btw, i compare the sound output of my w950 to the sound of my friend's w800, mine is bit lower. Prob caused by Eu regulation in latest phones. In where region should i update my phone to avoid the Eu reg in sound? Thanks.

Hi all I am getting this phone very soon the fact that is hasn’t got a camera does not bother me. How often do you guys use your camera on the phone? I used to be a Nokya fan but no longer now. I don’t want to bad mouth Nokya phones or anything like that but I really think SE makes better phones. As for guys complaining about problems with the phones, software I just want to say its human nature. We all make mistakes cause we are human beings so please stop complaining about phones that hangs or shutdown by itself just switch the damn thing back on.

Had this phone for almost a month now, do I miss the fact that it has no camera?....NO, not in the slightest.
Does the music sound good?....Yes, better than my ipod! I have got 642 tracks on the phone and still have 1.5MB of space free :-)
Does it hang?....Once when I was loading the Disco game (which is a good game!)
Controls- Once you get used to the phone it's a joy to use.
Texting- Using the drop down keyboard and the stylus makes for very easy and fast texting!
Would I recommend this phone?....Yes, if you like music/gadgets then this is the phone for you ;-)

guess what, this phone does HANGs!!
just after uploading some songs on it..
in the walkman mode, i browsed through the album part, while the album arts were still loading, and wala!! it hangs..
and i still love this phone.. haha..

Finally, I returned this phone to Sony store because it is so bad phone, reasons are:
too slow inteface menu, bad key pad, washout pictures when connected internet.

When i first saw this phone advertised, i wanted to get it straight away for my upgrade.
i started looking at the spec and to my dissapointment, it didnt have a camera. the music features alone couldnt persuade me to buy it as i am so used to the camera feature on phones these days.

you can set a "mood" to any music you have. be aware though, there are only 5 moods.

You can use the SE 'Disc-to-phone' software and USB data cable provided with the phone to trasfer the music across. the software will transfer and convert any music you want to your phone.
Comparing the sound between the W900 and W950 i would say the W950 is clearer and louder by far from the external speaker.
