Can anyone help?
I have managed to get the included software to recognise the phone and it allows me to look through the folders etc. but when I change the phone to high speed transfer to initiate the disc2phone button/function the disc2phone screen doesn't see the phone as connected! nor does the hardware connection symbol in the bottom right corner of the screen?
Any ideas?

No matter, I was testing it with just the house phone ringing, the option doesn't come up untl the call is answered!

how do you get the speaker to work whilst making a call? On the w800 you just turned the speaker on! can't seem to see how it works on this phone!!!

You would have to delete the albums without album art from the phone and re-load them once you have added the art.

I'm sure that I read somewhere that you can just drop the AA in the folder containing the album you want the art for!
I could be wrong, I haven't got this phone YET :)

have had this phone for about a week now,
loaded it with 350 songs.. and it still have 2.5 gb left.. all songs in 192 kbps quality, and the D2P software support wma which is great..
overall, the phone is superb. has a solid feel to it. love the walkman branding on the side. havent 'abused' it yet, i'll review this phone again another time..
about the sound quality.. here's my review..
most of the songs are heavy metal plus some Keane and Coldplay stuffs inside.. u guys should try it w/ other types of song too..
when playing in loudspeaker mode, it is not that loud in 'megabass' mode and 'loudness' mode..
but when using it w/ the stock in-ear headsets.. darn it was really great!! the bass lines and every drumbeat were very clear to listen to.
plus when using it w/ my philips sbc hp200 headphones.. the sound quality beats the windows media player and ties with the stock radios found in mercedes cars. i've tested it, compared the phone with the radio in c-class.
now.. the weaknesses..
firstly, the keypad.. since they have no individual buttons on it, its okay and neat, but when not pressing it accurate enough, the input will be different.
second, the gap between the screen and the casing, the same problem with the one who has posted this before.. it makes the phone looks cheap.. but this okay coz no one is going to notice it.
third, the silver plastic on its sides.. i thought it resembles brushed aluminium, until i found a tiny ridge.. but its still nice though
lastly, i found its quite hard to open the back cover, does anyone have this problem?
i wanted to install a lanyard, thats it.
I recommend this phone for real music lovers and metalheads out there.

Hi... I received my w950 a couple of weeks ago.. and initially was impressed,although after a week or so...my message inbox completely disappeared.. I could only read messages on receipt and they just dissappear. Only finding them when a searh is carried out... Sent the phone back to Vodafone for a replacement... seems to be working ok now... has anyone else experienced this? Also gap between the screen (on both phone there is a gap between casing and screen at the bottom...which lets all the white light out from the keypad... This is annoying!! Anybody elese have this problem.. Thx

I was undecided between the N91 and w950...until yesterday!
I went to my local O2 shop and had a play with them both, I decided to go for the w950!
Reasons-
1) The w950 is about 50% lighter than the N91
2) The w950 is shorter and thinner than the N91
3) The w950 just looks and feels better built!
4) The w950 has a larger screen
5) The w950 seems to have more gadget type things to play with :)
6) May sound daft, but the w950 was nicer to use!
Granted the N91 has a camera, but how many times will you use it? I for one will not miss a camera being on my phone!!!
And 'YES' it does have handwriting recognition :-)

I'm sorry, it's better that someone who have used both of them for several times can answer your question.
But one of the difference of them is N91 has camera while W950 has not.
The best if you can find friends around you who have these handsets and you can try them. Take your time, so you can choose the best handset that fulfill your need.
