its a crap phone. its too large for what it is as it has flash memory, and not a hard drive - te size is abit unnecessary. i gave mine back at 3days as the songs sometime skipped slightly - this is because of the crappy compression software you have to use. the size of the screen drains the battery quicker then you think. if you use your phone often, as well as an mp3 player - this is not the phone to get. get a regular phone (with a camera), and an ipod!

    @ jessa

So you're saying that if a phone doesn't have a camera it's not good?

What about the people that work in places where they aren't allowed a phone camera or even the people that don't want to take pictures using a phone camera because they have a very good digital camera for doing that!

If you aren't bothered about having a camera on a phone, then you will have to go a very long way to beat the W950!

The keypad is fine and the phone for making calls is very good.

23 albums on the phone and only 1.3gb used of the available 4gb used :)

Is this phone actually good? I'm a heavy phone user, I work for Vodafone and we have only just started selling this phone on our network and we haven't had any consumer comments so far. I am considoring getting this phone to replace my current Samsung E900 as the music player on this isn't so hot...
Any opinions would be much appreciated...

If this phone had an SD memory slot (so it could fit in the new Pro-HG cards), it would be perfect. Buy a real camera, phone-cam hoez!

hi everyone. Its my first time posting here. well, i'm about to get the w950 on monday, but before i get it, i just wanted to make sure how is the video on it? how is the quality and what video format it supports? most of my video files are real player files. and one last question, i really dont like it when you have to sync files like the ipod or the zune from microsoft. i love to just drag the files. how does the w950 work in this case? thank you very much for your time everyone and thanks in advance for the people answering my questions. happy holidays.

The first day that I had this phone I thought "Oh my god what have I done, I should have gone for a 'normal' phone!"

Almost a week on now and I think that this is the best phone by far! It takes a day or so to get used to how everything works, but once you have mastered it you can't go wrong.

The album art looks really good and the choice of visualisation when playing the music is great. The disc2phone software is cra* though, I use itunes to convert my music to aac format and to add the album art, then just either drag and drop to the phone or save the tracks in folders and then drag and drop them! Either way works well.

Battery life is really good, don't think I have seen it go below 50% yet!

Messages are a pleasure to read as you don't have to bother scrolling down to read it! The screen is big enough to see all the message in one go :-)
Whilst on the subject, you know when you get a new phone and you want to type a word in but your phone doesn't know it, so then you have to mess around adding words etc? Well if you use the drop down keyboard you just type like you do on a pc keyboard without having to move from screen to screen...then when you want that word again for another message, it automatically remembers it and displays it on the screen for you just to touch to add to the message.

I have found the phone easy to navigate around using either the touch screen with my finger or the stylus, or even the scroll wheel on the side. (I have big hands so if I can do it anyone can!)

As for the lack of the camera! Have I missed it? NO...the phone has such a great music player and other features that you don't want to p**s around taking pictures :-)
