Tis a pity this doesnt have Wifi because it wouldve have made so much difference to sales! I would buy one only for that and am sure many others think the same!

i bought thep990i but i changed for the w950i good move for me, is much better even if haven't got camera the only think is i'm disappointed that i bought some games from sony ericsson ,when download to the 950i the message is: cannot install,the file is not longer supported.
is anybody can help me how to solve this issue?
i send a message to sony ericsson but not replay.so unfaire! I spended 54 pounds for nothing! much appreciate if somebody help me .thank you

IMHO,.. this is a music phone, putting a camera in it's back means nothing if music freaks do listen more on Mp3s or whatever and prefer more on their real digital camera than a CMOS camera at the back of a phone with no autofocus,optical zoom and xenon flash in one... people kept complaining about camera because previous non-os walkman phone have cameras(and some are equiped with the advanced ones like w900,w800,w810) and this phone is the only one without and it is a samrtphone... SE is just segmenting the market of music into business, all in one, featurepacked mid-range/high-end, and the camera centrics in order not to kill each other's target market... now they're looking like a downgrade but it is a good descision for othet users because why paying for a feature that they disn't use even? there's P990 that accompanies feature freaks and there is walkman for music lovers, cybershot for camera hungry people, K & Z-series for mid-range,design and 3G lovers in which it packes up also with basic features suitab;le for their lifestyle... SE's work is just fine for me for the sake of our beloved money and for the sake of their company... i can't see any faults because at least they can focus on one field other than just crammed production without any critical hardware/software focusing...

I get fed up of hearing "why hasn't it got a phone"
I have had four camera phones and never used any of them! I'd much rather have more space for music...which I do use :)

Hmm which to go for, I like the idea of the w950 because of all the gadgets i.e. handwriting recognition (does that work well?)
This is what O2 have offered me-
W950 for £100
W850 for £50
Z610 for FREE
K800 silver edition for FREE
All with 200 minutes and 100 texts for £15 a month.
So do you guys think paying the extra money is worth it for this phone?

OK first battery life saver, switch to GSM only mode (see booklet for instructions, having a camera is not a must the phone does everything else you'll ever need.
It has 4gig of mem y wud u need more that is equivelant to 3000 songs (in correct format) and round 12 full films (or equivelant data)i work with phones and know ppl from sony and this phone gr8, personal taste plays a big part.

insted of asking about the phone features, how about you go to your local phone shop and they will tell you everything. or be normal and read the book that comes with the phone.

Can somebody confirm the battery life on this phone? I have checked a number of site including the Sony Ericsson, Orange.co.uk and other site through google.com and they all come up with a total different battery life on stand by and talk time.....I don't wanna buy a phone which will die after 3 hours of me talking on it!!!
