You don't need camera to use 3G;but you're right that we can't do real time video calling.For this feature you need not only one but 2 cameras.
But still you can receive video conf.
No camera doesn't mean no 3G.
There are some 3G phones without camera and also which have only 1 camera in the markt.

Sony Ericsson W950 is a lovely and a fine phone. I think the phone is not 3G compatible as it's does not have a camera features in it,3G is all about bringing wireless transmission speeds, which allow full motion video, high-speed internet access and video-conferencing.
My opinion is that any phone that does not have camera features on it can not be 3G compatible.

Hey u all. SE has released this phone in Mumbai india. current cost is INR 31495 which is abut USD 700.00

That guy from holland could easily turn the phone to see if there was a camera in the back of it... hmmm plus sonyericsson have the specs on it and don`t mention a camera...

Don't know if they have it in stock and they made a mistake by mentioning a 3.15mp camera, but I think the phone is almost ready for release

if you dont mind other functions(only music and added camera), try the ROKR E2 of motorola or any of the walkman series and even K800,K750 or P990 or N91.. all of those produces good sound.. as of my experiences as a mobile freak... N73 also is good for it has stereo speakers though i dont know the quality of the earphones...

well the fone is da bomb with 4gb memory and tft touchscreen what else can u ask for we really dont need a camera at least its got stereo bluetooth i just hope the speaker is as good as w900, what does the head set look like?

@ naevy....have a quick look at the w830. good features (including 2mpx camera) music player v2.0 (only has upto 1gb memory but should be enough as most music phone at the mo have 512k)

no camera is a big dissappointment... im a music freak but i prefer to get a phone at least with a camera too...
why cant we get a phone with top-range features? with good camera and good music player... all in one.. aint that betta?
every latest phone has built-in camera.. and now w950 with no camera?? what's going on???
